I’d rather sing for Jesus than anything but I’m an incredibly blessed singer who grew up in the Cleaveland Tn COG organization and no one here in Nashville will even give me a meeting to see if I even have something to offer Christian music! We are all to study the Bible & then we see the harmony. There was the Roman Centurion - rich with servants - Jesus commended him for his faith and never told him to sell all and give to the poor plus wealthy Cornelius in Acts, Zaccheus the wealthy tax collector. Philemon was rich. the women who ministered to Jesus had wealth, the rich Ethiopian etc & Jesus never told any of them to sell all and give to the poor. Now it is the job of the Holy Spirit to lead each of us with our calling & money.

Jason's singing truly glorifies god's goodness . I liked to judge too. but all that has come to pass. because I leave the judging to the ultimate judge. we are only called to be witnesses. Satan is the acuser. Jesus took our punishment. so that we can witness and tell of his goodness. not jurors nor lawyer. God bless all those that have the privilege to hear this free. and God bless those who gave.

Jesus has the ability to judge hearts No, I don't love money and there are so many things of much greater importance than being rich. All the money in the world cannot buy peace, well-being, eternal life, health, We don't need money but we need food, clothing, shelter and Jesus said if you seek first the Kingdom, all these things will be ADDED to you. Jesus did not mean for everyone for all time to sell all and give to the poor when we have needs too. His plan for each is different?

Compared to Africa we are all rich beyond belief here in the U.S. So are we all supposed to give up everything we have to give to the poor in Africa who don't have clean water or food or housing? Since you interpret the Bible this way, I know a missionary who left all and she is looking for an assistant to help her in Mozambique. She is caring for 1900 orphans. How about you David?? No electricity, no air conditioning, no McDonalds, no doctors but she's a nurse. Can you go? Orphans Unlimited :)

Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell all and give to the poor. Jesus knew his heart and that he loved and trusted in money. Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, but, if used wisely is not wrong to have.It also says we are worse than infidels if we don't take care of our own, so we need money for that. Jesus never told everyone to sell all and give all to the poor - only this rich man, who put money before God. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all other things will be give to you.

It says it is DIFFICULT to go to Heaven for a rich man - and the context is referring to love of money - not such as Abraham, who was one of the richest men in the world, but who loved God more than anything. Some preachers have become corrupted by money, but some haven't! You are rich and the people in African would be asking you why you don't sell all to help them. Do you enjoy luxuries they don't have? Then why judge others for you do the same thing in a different way.

Let them think for themselves. Do NOT tell them what to think or how to feel or how to believe. Oh, I know, you're just going to say that they are being taught the "right" things to do (the "things of God"). REALLY!?!!? I don't think so!!! They are being taught to have a CLOSED mind. They are being taught to give the Pastors a LOT of their hard earned money (instead of him going out & getting a REAL job of his' own and actually WORKING for his' money the way everybody else does).
