Jason Kelce scolded his little brother Travis over his blowup with Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid at Super Bowl 2024.
Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast, the Philadelphia Eagles center told the Chiefs tight end that he went too far by screaming at and bumping his long-time coach as tensions ran high on the sideline.
“You crossed the line,” Jason told his brother. “The yelling in his face, too, was over the top. I think there are better ways to handle this, retrospectively.”

He’s trying to laugh it off because he’s uncomfortable and regrets it so he’s trying to try and lighten all of it up. People express things in different ways.

I think Jason wanted Travis to be more accountable but we got what we got. 🤷🏽‍♂️ There’s never a need of an explanation why more than there is a need for acknowledgment. People are going to be all over it because what people saw was entitlement.

No matter what he says, there is always going to be someone who says he was wrong/didn't do enough to rectify/wasn't sorry enough/etc etc etc. Having grown up in a football family (with a semi pro "father", and coach), I just have to say, this crap happens. Is it right? No. But I can also see Travis going for anger management. Best wishes to the Kelce family, and to Coach Reid.

You need to get it together dude. It's not cute or funny. Andy Reid has been a winner wherever he goes and you're not the only player on the team. It's ridiculous that he would need to babysit you when you're not in the game. People are probably also going to start wondering if this is going to carry over to Taylor Swift. If you weren't the best tight end in the history of the game, you wouldn't have been put back in that game at all. There's very few if any other tight ends that would get away with this. Coaches that get to the Super Bowl 5 times are tough to find. A tight end can be replaced

It’s not an anger issue. When there’s a big game like this on the line, everyone is fired up, mad, wanting to do something. What he did was out of his desire, which is something to respect. I highly doubt he’s like that with Taylor or outside the field

He literally said multiple times he regretted it immediately. I'm sure Coach Reid encourages his players to take it out on him rather than other players. Yes, he probably wouldn't tell them to do that. He apologized, and stuff like this has happened before, and no one said crap.

Travis acting like he actually did something that whole game🙄. The only thing I saw was that he got tackled a lot. NFL players are a different breed of human. Most are self-centered and think they greatly contribute to society when all they do is get paid millions to throw a ball. Players like Jason are rare. Travis, not so much. Typical NFL player in my opinion.

Well said Jason. Hopefully Travis listening full to what you saying, has a fan we see him getting out of control, he gets mad , angry fast and his drinking well makes him look hmmm not so good in the eyes of fans fans all over social media are saying the same thing. People are always saying his trying to be you. Well let’s face there is only one you lmao. Everyone need to relax they won a super bowl worked really hard to get there and yes they should have a few drinks party have tons of fun. But know your limit to cut your self off before it gets to the point of fans seeing you do saying fool stuff and teams you can tell are tried of it. Watch clips see you self and your teams not thinking it cool.

Jason is a gentleman and extremely level headed but the wheel world watch what Travis did to Andy Reid. Andy is two years younger than I. What Travis did is called ELDERLY ABUSE!!!! 😮 And being given a free first down when Travis made a 9 yard play ticked me off even more. The game was another fixed game. But I feel Travis should be fined for his actions of unprofessionalism. Travis is setting a bad example for younger future NFL professionals. Nit Good Travis. You need to stop being a bully!!!!!

I feel like these podcast/ therapy sessions everyone is doing makes people think they can behave whatever way they want to as long as they come on to talk about their feelings later and apologize. I mean great I guess. Or you can just own the fact that you run hot and if you were to go back and do it over again nothing would change because that’s the way you are.

These two are great checks and balances but at the end of the day if you never played a sport at a high level you have no idea of what intensity feels like at that level. It’s not what he did, it’s his reaction to it. Shit gets out of hand sometimes but we are all human and at the end of the day his intent is in the right place for passion and wanting to win. Much respect to Travis for apologizing live! Each player and coach has different relationships, when you put 2 great people in a room there is bound to be an outpouring of passion. This is also coming from a person that isn’t a Travis Kelce fan but I can recognize greatness and passion when I see it! Anyone saying different doesn’t know what pressure situations feel like
