7 жыл бұрынLong before Hollywood got ahold of Jason Momoa and turned him into a savage warlord and our latest superhero, he was just a kid who grew up the son of an artist from a family of builders and hunters from a small town in Iowa. Raised by a strong single mother, he craved everything his mom opened his eyes to, from art to music to rock climbing and skateboarding. All of this left a deep sense of adventure in his blood.
This is the story of a man hell-bent on remaining that kid - no matter how big he gets or where the world takes him. Because family, “My Ohana” as Jason likes to say, is all that matters to him.

Whenever I feel like shit I come here .I look up to him , more of role model than someone to idolise because he's such a great guy and becoming a father is truly the greatest thing in a world and especially with the woman of your life . This short film strengthens me . Gives me the urge to chase my dreams . Man I'd love to drink few pints of beer with him. This man is an absolute legend !

It's easy. A lot of people are biased towards Marvel/Disney and against DC/WB. So they have a strong dislike for DC and its actors, and everything else those actors are associated with. (I don't. I personally love DCEU, minus second half of Suicide Squad.)

Obviously ??? Did I miss something ??? With Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa as parents I wouldn't doubt that those kids spend a lot of time outdoors, experiencing life, forming their own opinions and outlooks - not only watching through the eyes of others and being force-fed their opinions

Our family has known his mom for years. This is probably the place he lives with his family. He's super off the grid and really enjoys living off the land. He is incredibly respectful and nice and his mom is truly a very sweet lady. This was so sweet. I love porweful films that bring a good message of love and harmony.

There are so many people, too many people in this world that just do it to be doing it. Wasting their existence doing everything half ass. He is my kind of people. Your kind of people. Erica he perfectly conveyed the doubled edged nature of his career. he wants them to have the freedom they do but in order to sustain that life he has to spend so much time away. the family seem super tight though, it's nice that it clearly hasn't put a wedge in between them because I imagine it could've very easily turned out that way. all this heavy realism from an ad for pants 😂

@@Moshington Absolutely true. After my son passed away, I thought about times when I got frustrated over little things and how wrong I was. I came across a question once, "If you could relive one day, what would it be?" For me, any day I wasn't the best father I could be. I think about and miss my son everyday, and my heart hurts everyday from the guilt of those times I got frustrated over spilled milk or told him I was too busy to play. He was only two years old but already everything I ever wanted to be, brave, strong, kind, compassionate, sweet, funny, smart.

All true.. but not ONCE did I watch this and say "wow, that was incredible! I should get some Carhartt pants!' I honestly didn't even realize it was a marketing strategy until about the 3-4 time I watched it. Yes its all marketing and yes they did it BEAUTIFULLY too, but if you watch/listen to any other interview or press with Jason he speaks just the same about his wife and kids. THIS.IS.HIM! No one should hate him for doing/saying what he truly loves and believes in for profit, who wouldn't want to do that! There is enough small minded people in this fucked up world. Just stop and enjoy how beautiful this is, regardless...

This was so moving for me. Tears are running down my face. I am an artist, mother, and wife, living in a rural area where Carhartt is a staple. I saw Dan and Dave from GoT say if they could bring one dead character back, it would be Kahl Drogo, just because they miss hanging out with Jason so much. That whole scene in season 2 where Dany sees him with their baby was done just so they could bring him back for a few days, lol. So apparently, he's not only as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside, he's a hell of a lot of fun in a bar, too. And those are some pretty children, dang, good genes or what. Thanks Jason for your hearts adventurist spirit. I'm 52 now, my mother was in a horrible rock climbing accident when I was a youngster, before rock climbing was fashionable. She went back to rock climbing after 2 months in traction in the hospital and months, if not years of rehabilitation, and I've never understood why she would risk life, not to mention me (it was just us two in Colorado), to go back to climbing. This video gave me my first real glimpse of that reason, and for that.. I thank you and the directors of this video. Profoundly thankful.

I love this. I love how he's teaching his kids about his life, nature and the world the way he sees it. He's teaching them not only about themselves but also about the family history and also how to see, feel, and hear the world around them. He's teaching them how to trust their mind and body. What and how he has taught his children, reminds me of my Grandfather. My Grandfather did things like that all time with me. My Grandfather passed away in 2006, and I miss him. I miss hearing him sharing his stories and teaching me things. But I know he is always in my heart and that his legacy lives on with me and all that I do.

You missed the main message though about buying Carhartt pants. That is the whole purpose of the commercial. It uses some very manipulative techniques to pull on your heart strings so that you may associate those deep feelings with Carhartt clothing. We're only human, so we can be so easily seduced.

Your story is told with true passion. The life that you learned the true meaning of hardships, structure and the meaning of love. Through the birth of you children. And becoming a father was a dream come true. You thought your children well and the love they have for you is amazing. With this world all that is happening.
