Ngl as a non-Polynesian I'm so jealous of the tribal tattoos, they are so cool. I had a friend who got one when she turned 18 and her mom had a big one on her leg. They almost have an elegance to me unlike most other random tattoos.

I mean there’s many native cultures that have similar traditional tattoo styles. My dad’s family is Taino, which are natives of Puerto Rico and their traditional tattoos are kinda similar to Polynesian ones. Do a little research, you might find that you have some sort of tribal background.

A lot of Polynesian places do not have a problem with non-Polynesians getting their tattoo as long as you understand what you are getting and do it respectfully (don’t just get a random person, get a Polynesian who knows the traditions and know what they are doing)

I first saw him as a kid in Baywatch and thought he was handsome in a pretty way, but when I really thought he was super cool, was in Stargate Atlantis. He’s one of those people who the scar over the eyebrow and the tats really elevated his image.

GQ u have made me very happy. "Now that I"m me..." love that. I always wondered what the scrawl on is his chest was...and that is so friggin touching his kids names-- but in their own handwriting...so sweet. Most folks would have done it in pretty script but I love that he made it that way.

Anyone can walk into a tat parlor and point to some flash on the wall. His tats mean something to him. Cultural, where he is/was on his journey, people who mean the most. JM seems so real. I mean, there he is for a GQ interview in a holey, beat up tank and holey pants, shoulders curled in, head down, Galway embarrassed about letting out these details. I’d love to just share a meal with the guy and my family. I think he’d be a blast at a family reunion lol
