After so many years Jason Mraz still gives me the chills. I grew up listening and playing his musics and they were very important for my own personal development as a human being. I love his old stuff form the early 2000's until we sing we dance we steal things, but everything after love is a four letter word had a great impact on me as well, looks like two different artists, but the same amazing addicting voice. It's funny how I don't know him, but he's like part of my life in a way I can't explain, but I feel. And this clip, of course, shows the awesome human being he is. I only got to know this song just two weeks ago as it was played at the memorial service of Dr Carolina Odman-Govender, a Swiss born astrophysicist who married and lived here in South Africa and recently lost a battle against cancer. I have played this song more than 20 times - Dr Carolina Odman was just pure love , she was an angel . She gave love , attention , care too everyone and she always had positive energy and always enthusiastic. I guess she loved this soing - she was truly an embodiment of love . She bequeathed a legacy of spreading the love to all. Love yourself, love your family, love your friends, love your neighbors, love the people and the planet. Spread the love, one love!

I lost my aunt 3 weeks ago.. I dont know why but when I heard this song , I cried so much thinking of her. Ive heard over a 1000 times but now after her passing it hits me differently. I would call my aunt as mummy, she raised me. I couldn't be there to see her the last time because of Covid. It was your song lucky that brought my fiance to me at your Philly concert years ago....i almost lost her twice, now cancer threatens that....but love is still the answer! My mother played Simple Man and Beatles love songs to me on her guitar and when i was a child and was surviving leukemia...since then i have had cancer 3 times and told i would not survive more than a year each time (3 yrs remission!....count all the good!)...and here we go again. First osteo (bone), then genetics levied stomach cancer (removed most of my stomach), then a tumor had to be removed from a lesion on my brain...now breast cancer. Sometimes i feel like the punchline to a god forsaken joke i didn't 'get,' but the addition to it that i am also intersex and when i began to live as a man at 19...my family wanted no part of me. I almost believed them when they sang twisted versions of their bibles or irreligious doctrines at me....but the truth is....i have had an amazing life full of gender fluidity and bending until almost broken...but i have learned one thing is true beyond anything else.... The love you give is the love you get....and in the end only love remains... no one will remember things i did or didnt do, liked or hated, had or didn't have... But every ounce of love will shine up and out loud for all times sake.... because i lived simply....love out loud...no fear...no shame...no filter... LOVE LOVE LOVE... the catch is...love is a verb, an action word.... it gets lost in just the utterance formed as sounding brass being rung....it is something you show, do, be.... words and language do it no real justice... Love simply love Love yourself and show yourself...now let that spread!!!
