Awesome I managed to do it after a couple of days of cards on the floor! @jasonParkerMagic I've noticed it helps a lot pushing the upper deck to the side (as you described at some point) but with a small extra angle. Like pushing to the side and backward a little Maybe that just works for me or because the deck is new, anyway I'll leave that tip here in case anyone else has the same issue

@@JasonParkerMagic Thanks so much Jason!! I live in CA but Mom's family is Ukrainian and have family outside of Rosnov. So while I have been thinking a lot about them and communicating with them regularly past months, I was also thinking of you as well as your friends featured on some of your videos. .As far as my card magic/sleight of hand, the main move I finally got down a few months ago was the Classic Pass. I still have never been busted on it by a spec. No it's not perfect to the point of being able to use it as a color change yet, but , as mentioned, still never been caught while performing. I got caught one time on a DL around 8 months ago and I still haven't fully gotten over that!! I actually found magic while going through a very rough and stressful divorce over a year ago. Honestly finding magic saved me in a way. Gave me another outlet outside of running my company here in Pasadena, CA. And your channel was always my favorite and watched all your videos. While I am very happy with how the card magic is coming along, two months ago I decided I was a total novice with coin magic so I wanted to up my coin game!! I have been taking private Zoom lessons from Craig Petty for coin routines and just got David Roth's Winged Silver down last week. Been performing that to people. You seem like such a genuine nice and fantastic guy Jason. Wishing you all the very best. David Murphy

Terrific Jason, thanks! Missed your videos, really glad you're back 😉👍. I found a purple deck of cards at Walgreens last year, that I'm reluctant to open because I only got that one deck and with purple being my lifelong favorite color, I don't want to open it quite yet. I know I should've gotten 2 decks, but it was at the very top of the rack and my 4'11" self couldn't reach the top of the rack easily, so I just grabbed the deck in front and wasn't able to go back again afterwards. But as SOON as I get another new deck I'm going to try this ASAP 😉👍.

Thanks for the support, and glad you liked the video! Yeah this move should NOT damage your cards... just don't force the cards too hard together. Make sure to watch the whole part 2 video before getting started if you have limited cards and want to protect them. then you can play it again while you are actually trying.... so that way you don't do the wrong thing (pushing too hard) and mess them up! :)

Hey Jason, yes, I'm really missing seeing you more often also. I hope you are doing well, and I'm glad you got out of the Ukraine safely. I might try this shuffle, I haven't done anything with cards for years. I used to be roommates in the Army with a magician. He was 'discovered' by a general in the cafeteria, and suddenly we were not roommates anymore! Solomon is all I remember about his name, but I know he toured a lot of Vet hospitals and such. Such a great guy, but I knew him at maybe 18 years of age or so. He allowed me to understand a few of his tricks, but mainly no way. Sorry to pontificate too much. But you need to please hold in there. Do what you must, but I really hope to see more videos from you. Good luck.

You're really getting me with this video, as in the last weeks I became more and more the wish to become a real magician but I am always the guy who says "I can't do things that requires skillful fingers and moves and I am totally impatient at learning things you have to repeat 1000 times. But your video is really good to understand and the jokes inbetween destroy nicely frequently all my "now it is getting too tough working... fun-less..."- thoughts. I really love magic (especially the pure, basic, straight stuff like card magic) so card-handling skills... maybe here I make an exception with "I can't train things that I need to repeat 1000 times". And many thanks for the link to quality cards because I wouldn't know which are quality and which are not. Aaahm, haven't found a link. By the way, I know a nice easy magic trick which I weirdly have never seen anywhere on youtube, maybe I should perform it on youtube, when I have time in summer.

It's ok! Don't worry about my commission... it's really a very small amount! I shared the link so people can see the exact cards mostly. (the small commission is only a bonus) But now that you know exactly what they look like and then name you can just search for them anywhere locally. Like Malcolm said probably a more local Amazon would be a great option! I know Bicycle cards are slightly more expensive in Europe since they are made in the US... but not really THAT much more expensive. I still think these are the best bang for your buck. (Other collectible and custom cards only get more expensive!) And if you buy 12 all at once... (a brick).... you get a better price per deck.

Mattes! Thanks for such a nice comment. :) Your comment hit the nail on the head... EXACTLY what I was trying to accomplish. That's why it took me so long to make this video... I was very much focused on trying to describe accurately and clearly how to perform this WHILE mixing in jokes to avoid people falling asleep. I know getting into the minutia can be quite tedious... so I tried to find a balance. ENOUGH details that people really get the right technique... but broken up by visual changes or jokes. And yes I'm with you... love the pure magic things like sleight of hand... and this really is a great move that you can enjoy the rest of your life! I do the faro shuffle all the time. It's fun/satisfying and actually a good way to break in (or refresh) your cards. And I saw in the comments below that you found my link to the cards in the Description section. So good. :) And lastly, yes you should film yourself performing that trick! If you like the results, then share it on KZfaq... if not... then re-film it! :) It's a great idea to film yourself so you can watch later and get self-feedback or even share the link with friends and get their thoughts. I think it helps you grow and can be fun.

My fingers are too chunky they don't have the grace and dexterity of your own but love observing your techniques!

Hello John John! :) I think MAYBE this is something everyone can learn. There are certain moves which definitely require certain contortions or flexibility or speed.... But I think this one should be able to be learned by almost anyone. As long as you can see well enough (or have glasses that will help). Just my thoughts! But it still can be very frustrating to learn this one until you unlock the right feel or technique where it just starts working... :)

Yeah that's definitely an issue... if you can't see the cards clearly, then it's hard to eyeball the cards when you split them in half exactly. BUT you can still at least do the bridge and use it as a real shuffle and for breaking in / refreshing the cards. I guess the other option is just wearing eyeglasses while doing magic... just kinda accepting it!

Thanks! I had a traumatic brain injury & my left hand sometimes has limited dexterity. So I'm looking for tricks & illusions I can do with one Right hand. I like your style, energy and straight forward help! 🤠🍩 If anyone knows beginner one handed tricks illusion, Please share. I live in senior home and I want to perform tricks that are visual and don't involve remembering a card. I performed trick for guy- in his 80s and he couldn't remember that card. So embarrassing for him and I mentally noted not to do that again in senior homes.♥ You'd be a star in a senior who may not have any family alive and can't get out easily. ⭐ I plan to perform magic here, for my grandkids and other youth (like in the hospital or rehabilitation) .Private message is ok, or put in link. THANKS Again
