I didnt migrate until the launcher stopped me from playing a few momths ago, and I had no choice but to do so. I regret nothing. I feel like the people at Mojang who wrote this video, and Dinnerbone himself, are on the playerbase's side. They had to make this video, so they made it as self-aware as possible. Migration may have seemed harmless at first, but with 1.19.1 on its way, I wonder if Microsoft is really going to stop here. For all we know, we could be seeing Minecoins on Java Edition in a few updates. I dont like to be dramatic about video games, but Minecraft is a part of my life, my history. I love this game, but it seems that Microsoft does not. I really hate to see it go in this direction. Sorry, this comment was all over the place. It is late where I am. What will happen to players who still have a legacy account because they do not have access to their email and transaction ID?

I was logging into Minecraft with 0 problems since 2012. Literally thousands of times, absolutely 0 problems with my Mojang account. I decide to move my account because I keep getting these annoying notifications, and what happens? Every time I log in it attempts to log me into Xbox live for some reason, moreover, it fails to do so every time so I get another pop-up I don't want. I then have to close then relaunch the launcher like 3 times until it finally lets me play Minecraft, which is the only reason I would ever open my Minecraft launcher. If you want to convince people to irreversibly migrate their account can you at least not break something that's been working with 0 problems for the last 10 years?

Well done Mojang, Microsoft and Minecraft as a whole, you've just made an even more controversial update than the combat update. - I understand microsoft has forced you to do this, but Mojang please try to push back on this.

love that I fit the "premium player" mentality of wanting to watch the last moments of Minecraft, as we did the start.

Yeah... I do not like this at all. A lot of people are having problems and besides- my Minecraft account has been fine for 8 years. I don't care about the Cape, and I do not like being forced to move my account. You say it's for security when that's a lie- You could have done that on the Mojamg website, Microsoft isn't the only place with two-factor identification - It's because Microsoft owns the place. And they are awful are handling the support apparently!

The personal security in both of these videos is startling, as if it’s a nod to the hostility between players and devs.

Whatching it closely, it would be fun to have a Mojang oficial server with all the comunity together, it can be like that one in the animation, imagine using it to have close contact with the developers or minigames during Minecraft Live.

This reminds me of that ad 343 Industries did where they tried to act like everyone who hated the REQ pack system were just losers, even though it was all rational people voicing disdain for a harmful corporate addition that hurt the game.
