How on earth is it underrated? It's one of the most listened to albums of all time. Most misunderstood maybe though. Most people consider it punk, and they miss the mark. They don't have an ear for emocore.

Well I do agree with you that this is an epic album, I would like to argue that the other two albums are actually better because they have less production value and they just seem more raw and pure. if you listen to unfun there are at least eight songs that have a transition in them in the middle of the song that is absolutely phenomenal.

Sean Decastro I’m partial to Unfun, but I was with them from the beginning, in high school. These guys hold a precious place in my heart. I do LOVE this album tho. I wrote letters to Blake as a bored teen, with ridiculous ad photos, like the “flowbee” and other shit and used an old typewriter; he wrote back when he could ...” we have an album called 24 HR Revenge Therapy coming out, “ among other random stuff. I could strangle my mother for chucking those. A few years ago, I got in a Lyft in PDX and he was playing Jawbreaker...I was MORE than excited. This is a fkn great album though, for sure....

​@@guyvandermire4146I gotta disagree. So underrated. Amazing album but it is the least favorite one among fans. Dear You and 24 Hour are the faves. My favorite is Unfun & 24 Hour. It goes back and forth. Unfun is also so underrated.

Dear you was on a major label and a great album it was just so ahead of its time nobody liked or understood it. The major label is a big part of the issues to cause jawbreaker to break up in the first place.

I got to know this band thanks to Nirvana. Kurt Cobain was really into them and his babysitter suggested they should open for the tour (In Utero I think?) and Kurt showed up at one point at the side of the stage to watch them play and enjoy and later told them how well they had sounded and that he really liked their music. The boys were thrilled. Then came the contracts and more attention. Thank you Kurt!
