I think I stumbled across another afk base idea in a POI. It seems that if you place some poles horizontally (one for you to stand on and another for the zombies to climb up to) and then build an triangle roof over the top, it forces the zombies to go to the point where the tightest gap is on the sides, they crawl and then fall down in between the poles. This seemed to be an infinite cycle and didn’t require me to be that high above the zombies. Idk if this would work on horde night because the zombies all move faster and seem to be better at moving on stuff that they shouldn’t be able to, but I bet woodle could figure it out. I’m not sure on the exact dimensions since this is from memory. But if you can find a hoarders house, try getting on to the roof without alerting the zombies in the first room and then from inside the first room in the rafters shoot the zombie below you. It should climb up on the pole via a traffic cone (might have a little trouble doing this) and then it should Go towards the side, crawl and then fall off. Hopefully you can lab this and find out something funky.

@@00HowFastCanYouRun If you have a baton you don't need a gun it's so good. Heavy armor provides actual defense now too so you only take damage from bleeds and broken limbs so you can just sit there power attacking non-stop sending enemies flying.

My tip for unlocking the motorcycle faster is to do a highway tour; loot every car in a big loop and you get heaps of books if you have a point in it. Possibly not the best content, so not for this playthrough, though I’m sure you could get distracted enough to make chasing a bunny entertaining. Thanks for the awesome content over the years. Always nice to hear Aussie content, and you do it well. Cheers!

u def need to keep ur nerdy outfit in your bike. think about it - carry 5-10 mags home or take up one slot in ur bike and read em after each poi. saves a ton of space

With the trader, you can do all missions with rekd but once you complete the next tier you have to go to the last trader you opened and they will have the quest for the next open trade routes.

They also "fixed" the lockpicking skill to now only boost workstations books until you've read 15 of them, effectively making the skill useless(since you can barely notice a difference even when you try to pick a lock with the skill maxed out due to the RNG nature of the lockpicking mechanic in this game).

Recommend Scavenger or Nomads outfit to get pockets, and you'll wanna carry the Nerdy outfit with you, since just two unread books is more inventory space than the Nerdy+reading them. Grats on purple :)

I want to be of help to you, so let me give you two things that helped me a lot if you're ok with it: -when you stab zombies behind holes in the doors crouch so you won't miss headshots and hit the door or the chest -wooden spikes are relevant again, they might nnot kill a radiated or a feral, but damn sure they hurt and slow down those guys Greetings from argentina

My suggestion is to go to the snow biome, do some looting and some scouting first, *then*, when you've picked a good base location and cleared it, move the bulk of your stuff.

Josh I figured it out, it's not that the animations don't line up with the hit. They're zombies and they're decaying, so every so often when they scream a tooth or chunk of bone goes flying off and occasionally hits you causing damage.

I can't believe you managed to find 8 Vehicle books on your run! That's a really good run man. I never have that kind of luck. Sadly, you had 8 books and got 10 points, so not the same luck there. But hey, 10 is a nice haul for one damn run! Great video man!

if you do not want to be so encumbered you will need to put some points into the pack mule perk. If not you need to find a bunch of pocket mods lev 4 and 3. And even if you find all the pockets mods (they seem pretty rare) it will take at least 5 mod slots out of a max 16 slots leaving only a maximum of 9 mod slots for everything else. Before you had a maximum of 15 left over after putting all the pocket mods. better to use a couple of points into Pack Mule to help out. Once (IF) you find those lev 4 pocket mods and the armors slots to put them in, you will probably have enough money to buy a forget elixir and remove those points.

That's the absolute waste of points, you can stack several pocket mods in the armor, and 4 pocket mods require Legendary Parts to craft them. Just make 6x3 pocket mods and apply them distributed in the 4 pieces. That way full inventory you get only 2 encumbrance slots wich is a laughable penalization, and if you ever find 1 or 2 4 pocket mods in loot congrats xD

I.e., you can't have 2 three pocket mods in the same armor item, but you can have a 2 pocket and a 3 pocket mod in the same armor piece. Also, pocket mod schematics and pocket mods themselves are incredibly rare (or I've just been very unlucky) now so good luck finding the higher ones anywhere during the first few game weeks.

@@elduquecaradura1468 you have to be very lucky to find a 3x pocket mod blueprint. I'm at day 39 and only found the 1x pocket blueprint and a few 2x pocket mod. Also you cannot stack 2 pocket mod of the same level they have to be of different level ex: 3x pocket + 2x pocket

one theory about the pockets situation is that it goes back to an all women shoplifting gang that got their start in the victorian era, known as the 40 thieves. Their leader Diamond Annie turned a gang into a full send crime syndicate, but they were noted for sewing large pockets into pantaloons to stash away their gubs they swiped. The theory claims that the blowback from when this syndicate was dismantled was that women's attire was almost exclusively made without pockets to keep them from developing such criminal inclinations

I am running Stun Baton in my playthrough of v1.0 & it is pretty dang good now. Hated them before, but they are pretty beast now.

Love you and your content Joshy, but I have to set the record straight on the stun baton. It is hands down the most OP melee weapon early, mid and late game. With the repulsor mod you can knock back even the strongest radiated zombies then swap to your weapon of choice and pop them in the head over and over while they writhe on the floor. The fact the zombie that get's knocked back and stunned also knocks down zombies behind him/her is a HUGE bonus. I snagged a T1 stun baton on like Day 6 somehow and never looked back. However, perhaps you know this already and your hatred for the stun baton is purely satire :)

I love to blow up barrels after I get the gas out of them, and they blow up great. Propane tanks however, do not blowup like they should ... still. I want fire and a big noise! They need to fix that.

If you need vehicle books, take your bike or scooter and do a road trip at night. Just follow a major road and loot cars. Cars have a decent chance of having vehicle adventure mags in them.

I actually tried the vehicle mod to lock slots and it didnt work for me. It had the UI but the actual lock didnt work for some reason. I do need to check to see if there is an updated version as the one I tried was right after 1.0 released and it may just not have been coded right at the time.

I'm currently playing an intelligent build, so I'm using stun batons, and I was very surprised how good they are, since I've never it before. I'm consistently popping heads in one or two hits on average and stun locking ferals. Pipe batons do suck though.
