Frustrated with the real Jax, Pomni decides to create another version of him using potions and magic. Initially, everything seems perfect as the new Jax possesses all the qualities Pomni had envisioned. However, the situation takes a dark turn when the new Jax becomes jealous of the original one and plots to harm or even eliminate him.

Six troubled human souls, including the timid newcomer and series protagonist Pomni; the trouble-making rascal Jax; the cheerful optimist Ragatha; the emotionally fragile Gangle; the moody perfectionist Zooble; and the paranoid veteran Kinger, find themselves trapped in the Amazing Digital Circus. This virtual reality game is run by a quirky but oblivious artificial intelligence named Caine and his enthusiastic assistant Bubble. Sent on relentless and sometimes traumatic adventures, Pomni and the others strive to maintain their sanity and uncover a path back to the real world.
