You wouldn't catch me in a swimsuit. I now have 2 teenage girls and I always build them up because everyone is beautiful in their own way. She is a great role model for young girls. I have lots of little girls I love in my life (nieces, a daughter, and friend's kids) and I'm glad they'll grow up with this song around. It just feels like one that needed to be made.

25 and never really gained weight until I got a 'big girl job' and worked from home. It really fxed up my mental health for a while until I realized the life I had before was actually a lot more unhealthy - Over exercise, eating a few snacks a day, etc. But I'm older, I want to be healthy and have an ACTUAL appetite and a child rearing body. It isn't healthy to not feel hungry bc your stomach is so small. I also realized, in order to build muscle, a bigger bum, etc. A more womanly frame (in my opinion) you have to gain some weight and then you can tone afterwards. Not feeling like eating is an illness/ disorder. Having an appetite means you are healthy. Do not be afraid of going up in clothing sizes because it really is not realistic to maintain a specific weight as your life changes year after year. Stay peaceful and stay healthy.

I have two questions for Jax. 1.) Why does it sound like you sing with braces on (reminds me of that gal Stacy off Zoey 101)? 2.) Why do you think Victoria's Secret is a man in Ohio? The owner committed suicide and his wife still resides in CA. They both owned the business. The reason they created the store was because he wanted to find lingerie for his wife and his wife had agreed that they could not find any good ones at the stores that were there during that time. It was a business started by a couple, not one guy.

I'm 45 and the song landed 100% with me. Women of all ages know what it's like to be bombarded with unattainable beauty standards. I remember seeing a picture from the 1920s of female models posing with a Model T, and those models would be considered fat and flat by the standards of the last 40 years (at least). The correct body type to have is this: if you're healthy, then it's the correct body type.

As a kid in high school I knew Victoria’s Secret wasn’t about a real person. It was a name of a store that sold women’s underwear. The fact that this woman admits that she thought that Victoria was a real person when she was in high school is a poor reflection on her, not the company. 🙄 She acts like she unlocked the Mayan Code or something. News flash! Women don’t shop at VS because they think “Victoria” started it. They shop there because they like the look of the underwear they sell. Now I await the inevitable attacks I will get because I didn’t just comment how brave and intelligent Jax is and what a genius she is for writing a song that attacks a company to get back at a bully who was mean to her relative. 🙄

Growing up I was the Skinny girl. Not because I was trying to, but because of my heart condition. I had a friend who struggled with her weight though. She was always worried that I was anorexic. While I'm not sure that I was (didn't have a problem with liking food, but I had a small appetite), I was nevertheless, skinny. As part of a congenital heart condition, after my Fontan heart surgery - the final stage surgery for those who have a Hypoplastic Left Heart Ventricle (~3/4 of my heart functions, although it feels more like ½ of it functions), I gained quite a bit more appetite. I didn't fully understand my friend and in a lot of ways I won't, but ever since some of my intestines had to be removed (flipped 360° and blocked anything from passing through my system), I've struggled with accepting myself with the shape that I have, knowing what I once had. At one point soon after my surgery for my intestine removal (Cecum, some of my small intestine, and appendix), I looked a little pregnant, even though I wasn't. This wasn't a problem because I was used to telling people about my heart condition. But what got me most is when my Dad was concerned that I could be getting a little fat after dealing with some fluid retention that was related to my heart condition and the back pressure my liver was getting. (This happened years after my bowel surgery.) Thankfully I've had adjustments to meds, but I'll admit, I still wish I could have my old body back. So thank you for making this awesome song! 👍❤️

When you look into the history of Victorias secret though, the song is incorrect. It was Roy and his wife Gaye. The concept came from him buying his wife lingerie and creating a concept where he could go in somewhere and get assistance in buying lingerie for her. Sadly he eventually killed himself.... THEN it got sold to Wexner. And Wexner himself even wanted classier looks starting in the early 90s. The song is cute and understandable in lingo for a kid, but limiting someone to "an old dude that lives in Ohio", when they've accomplished so much good work and philanthropy In their life isn't the truth.

The dress I was wearing to my daughter's outdoor wedding was a little too sheer in the sunshine, so I wanted a really nice mini slip to cover my butt and the tops of my thighs so I could at least carry off Mother of the Bride. So I asked the big boobed seriously skinny way too much make up store clerk where I could find a slip. She looks at me kind of quickly up and down and says Try JC Penny, we don't carry slips. And right behind her on the wall was exactly what I wanted. I pointed and said Well what are those? She lifts her nose a tiny bit (or not, my ego was taking a beating, bear with me) and says Those are Chemises. I said Ah. Well I need one in ivory in a size 6. Will you please bring me one? So since I am obviously interrupting her life she brings me one all the way to the register. Where I very nicely and non-Karenish explained what had just happened to the manager who was behind the counter for some reason. But it was exactly what I wanted and it eventually fell apart it was so useful.
