This is Stevie AFTER he got clean and sober. Came back STRONG !!! It is written by Double Trouble about the situation they all were in. ALL SRV to me is 100 powerful. ZERO weak songs ever. I was luck enough to see him 7 times. 1st time on his very first tour, in SF. And right before he died. Just WOW

Back in the 90’s I saw SRV live outdoors in Old Orchard Beach Maine. Got there early and got right in front of the stage. He came and played right in front of me for three solid hours. I was close enough to smell his cologne. Watching his hands and hearing the sounds come out of that Stratocaster was nothing short of miraculous. RIP Stevie, you are missed.

Stevie's tragic death in 1990 hit me hard... probably as hard as John Lennon's in 1980. He was an unparalleled talent... and if you can believe it, some critics thought his vocals were his weakness. I, like you, LOVE his voice... from the gut and genuine! His "In Step" album showed a lot of growth IMO... and then he was gone. Please react to another great tune from the album, "Tightrope".... it's awesome too!

@@Tessmage_Tessera So? These two have a personality you just can't fake. I don't doubt there are record labels out there still pushing music, so they can make money on old songs. I don't doubt there's probably a profit for playing certain songs. I look at reaction videos like our old DJ's or even Dick Clark's, rate the music. If it gets music heard again, and renews interest in some of the greats, I'm all for it.

Incredible, furious and mesmerizing. Saw him in 1985 in Harrisburg, PA on a warm summer evening. The crowd was pumped and Stevie Ray brought the goods! Sometime during the set, it started to rain while he was playing “Couldn’t Stand The Weather “. It was eerily reminiscent of the video of that tune, which had just been released. .. Gives me chills to this day.
