I liked the interview, didn't think it was bad at all. Jay has always been reserved, softly spoken and not particularly chatty....I didn't see awkwardness at all, maybe just a little tiredness. Him and Angie go back far, so their interviews have their own little Jay and Angie vibe to them...

It is very interesting to see the big guys in the business. The way they talk and behave is completely different to the rest. I know exactly what u mean and in my opinion it's him TRYING so hard to NOT be like other rappers. He tries to be very gentleman-like, to prompt responses like "he's so grown now", or "he's onto so much bigger and better things that he even speaks different"...which those things are true but I think he puts it on a little TOO much to the point where he's just awkward.

As he said in the video, he had the "other station's" interview the day prior. No interviewee or interviewer wants to ask/answer the same questions everyday, especially when they go public.
