There is concerning things to Jayden Daniels game that no one is talking about. In my eyes though, Jayden Daniels weaknesses are the worst to have in the NFL, that I see him as a SureFire Bust in the NFL.
To Washington fans, I wish it works out for you guys.

The sacks + frame + play style just adds up to injury in my opinion. Also he’s not gonna have 2 of the greatest wide receivers in the league to bail him out like he did in college. The dude definitely deserved the Heisman, but sometimes players just don’t translate well to the pros and I think that’s what’ll happen with him.

Watch Jordan Travis go onto having a good starting career, I might be biased cuz I’m a FSU guy but holy shit travis is the most mentally strong QB of this draft, from being Booed in 2021 and having his job possibly being stripped from him and being replaced by a ancient McKenzie Milton and not losing 1 bit of confidence. All the way to eventually winning Tallahassee over and leading them to a undefeated season until his devestatimg injury, and guess what he still hasn’t lost 1 bit of confidence and still putting in the work. Not to mention his leadership qualities are easily the best, he is a selfless player and isn’t all flashy and making it about him. He could easily be a great journeyman. He doesn’t have an insane arm but he takes care of the ball and doesn’t turn it over, and he also has great athleticism and he has recovered from his injury

The issue is Jayden progressed from freshman all the way to the Heisman year. The biggest knock you said is arm strength which is very misleading because Daniels have plenty of arm strength just not elite arm strength. Having elite arm strength doesn't make you into a great QB though Zac Wilson have a strong arm. Clearly Joe Burrow doesn't have elite arm strength but he finds a way to get it done. Daniels clearly worked on his game and you could see the progression from freshman year at ASU then from his first year at LSU where he had to win the starting job and had a decent season similar to Joe Burrow's 1st season at LSU, then he improved and had a elite year won Heisman just like Joe Burrow did. Plenty of QBs doesn't have elite arm strength but get it done Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, Joe Montana all HOFer. Arm strength is just one of the things to make a Franchise QB.
@JustAnFootballGuy
@JustAnFootballGuy Ай бұрын
I don’t think the biggest knock I said was arm strength. If I said that, then I am mistaken. It’s the pressure to sacks he takes that are all on him. It’s alarmingly high and the number of QBs that succeed despite it is next to none. But with arm strength, I noted that he can clearly throw deep down field. That’s not what I was focusing on. His throws to the flats and out routes are the issue. The ball hangs in the air for way too long. There was numerous interceptions he had where the ball was thrown to the flat and it hangs too long in the air. Yes QBs can succeed without a great arm. I stated that before I even began talking about Daniels and arm strength. Normally Im a big believer that having average arm strength is perfectly fine. What I don’t believe is throws like Daniels makes to flat will work out. Daniels had very minor improvements year to year at ASU. That’s where I disagree. PFF individual grades show otherwise. It’s when he went to LSU where he made genuine improvements
@Highspeed30
@Highspeed30 Ай бұрын
@@JustAnFootballGuy Jayden Daniels took the Joe Burrow route to the top of the draft. ASU was a dumpster fire his last season and Covid year before that Herman Edwards told him if first 2 reads wasn't there to run. Then like Burrow he transferred and earned starting job wasn't handed to him. Jayden improved as a passer his first season at LSU and had a good decent season and then like Joe Burrow put everything together won Heisman and to top of draft. Joe Burrow had Jamar Chase & Justin Jefferson to throw to and I don't remember hearing all this "bust" talk. BTW go look at Joe Burrow's pressure to sacks in college & he turned out alright. Jayden Daniels is the most talented pro ready QB in the draft with Bo Nix close behind him both started well over 50 games. Unlike a project player like Drake Maye he has good pro size and a strong arm but his mechanics are terrible which lead to too many erratic throws, his footwork is horrible he hops in the pocket, bad pocket presence, has to refine his throw motion to get ball out faster, and lack experience with protections he has a ton of work to become a starting QB in league. We will agree to disagree with Daniels, this young man has the right mentality between the ears to work on his craft to improve as a QB.

I'm a Skins fan....y'know, the REDSKINS. The Kingsbury hire never sat right with me. Last year Sam Howell got killed because Eric Bienemy would'nt stop calling down the field, seven step drop plays behind that weak azz O line. You're correct that they didn't do enough to fix the O line in the offseason. The microscope is sooo big on this kid. I feel for him.

I never liked that they changed their name. Controversial but it’s my Opinion. I don’t like Kingsbury. Really don’t like it. I love Sam Howell, he is my guy. Disagree with the “no one has heard of him before this year” As a true freshman was asu he had a very promising start to his career and put his name on the radar as a future first rounder. After the Covid year and horrendous “junior” year at asu, he fell to a day 3 pick. After resurfacing at lsu in 2022, he put his name into the conversation of day 2 pick with some upside.
@lukiepookie6227
@lukiepookie6227 Ай бұрын
I had late first round grade on him, but he’s a qb and won Heisman, so I can understand why he got drafted so high. He’s a run first qb and they can win with that. Not to compare him to Lamar at all, hes not Lamar at all, but ravens are an example of that. That’s what the bears ‘could’ have done if they thought fields was the future. This is what I’m assuming Washington does. Can’t ask him to sit back and throw 40 times a game like they did with Howell. If they run the right offense he can succeed. If they run an offense not suited for him, he will bust. He has a lot to work on, but he’s been labeled as one of the hardest workers on lsu’s roster.
@JustAnFootballGuy
@JustAnFootballGuy Ай бұрын
I guess I just disagree. His freshman year wasn’t good at all. At no point did he show anything until LSU. He certainly was heard of before this year, what I was trying to say was in terms of a 1st round pick and going as a high draft pick, that was unheard of. Which I get is not what I said in the video, in my head that’s what I was thinking. Appreciate you checking out the video!

Like not just being tackled but being completely destroyed. Never seen it. I played football all my life and watched it all my life just like many of you have. I’ve never played with or seen a player with that lack of awareness when running be coached out of it. Especially for a QB who knows he won’t get touched in practice. Like watching him run it feels like he thinks he’s really getting boogie all the time 😂. And everyone loves the ole miss hit but that’s not the 1 that catches my eye. You know what I hate about this video, saying he’s going to be a bust then next thing you don’t want him to be a bust that you wish he proves you wrong. Tells me all I have to know about you, you’re just saying that so you can have some wiggle room when he proves you wrong. When it comes to Jayden working out in Washington only time will tell so this video is kinda stupid and unnecessary.
@JustAnFootballGuy
@JustAnFootballGuy Ай бұрын
Why would I want him to be a bust? Wanting someone to fail is a very poor way to go about life. Really my point is there is issues with his game where it leads me to believe that he could be a bust, but saying I hope he proves me wrong is wishing that he proves me wrong. It’s not wiggle room or any of that bull crap that you just said

@@JustAnFootballGuy I hate comparisons but RGIII is unfortunately a good one. He wasn't NFL-ready *yet* when he started. But Snyder forcing Shanahan to start him fed his "I have to prove myself Every Day" ego & set up the fall. Here's a weird thing to take aside & consider later: at what age does anyone's mind & body start working together right? If you build a car to fit an 8-year-old the child won't suddenly become able to multi-task to the extent they can watch for traffic, pedestrians, hit the turn signal, hover their foot over the brake & check everything again while making a turn. The best example of this is Peyton Manning's rookie season. Around game 11 he stops imitating Zach Wilson & throwing INTs due strictly to panic. This synch-up between body & mind usually happens in one's early 20s.

So I'm in DC, watching all his OTAs,? Rookie training camp etc and the one thing that has stuck out is his arm strength and accuracy. Super fast release as well so the negative comments about that part of his game is not accurate at the moment. He's the best QB in the draft at the moment with his potential and I'll believe otherwise if that happens. TBC...
@JustAnFootballGuy
@JustAnFootballGuy Ай бұрын
Yeah that’s OTA’s for you. News from OTA’s is usually wish washy. The film doesn’t lie, you saw clips, go look up his film, you will see the throw to flats and out wide being bad. You should know OTA’s is a load of crap and the last thing to listen to. Until you see Daniel’s throw game 1. I wouldn’t listen to anything else

you did too many assumptions. I gave you the current insight which highlights how you're incorrectly assessing him as a whole. All I've seen for months is every highlight because we've known we was taking him for that long. So because of that I've seen more of his highlights than I even care to. Then I'm seeing everyone else break down what they seeing hence why we're even having this conversation. You're like take #502 for me on Jayden Daniels and I'm telling you from a more invested perceptive that you're flat out wrong. You judging the tape your way and all the experts in this field have a significantly different approach to him which you have to recognize unless you live in a bubble. Now that I've established the pecking order, go look up Jayden's release vs Drake Maye's (yes other ppl went that far) and I'm talking about rookie mini camp. His release is MUCH FASTER and his passes were harder. Total opposite of what you and others have stated. How about now vs The other QBs or the ones from previous years (Sam Howell) Jayden release is explosive says the current players. How it's noticeable. So Jahan Dotson lying about that? You sure? How would that benefit anybody to lie. To have the entire team, JP Finley who works for NBC and was crapping on the team all last season. Changed his tune just to protect Jayden's feelings? No, Sorry. You're welcome to your opinion but you're sounding like a hater because you down playing the best prospect in the draft with false observations. Then you ended it with Bo Nix is the real QB of this draft 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think your picks have more to do with inclusion which leads to delusion. But that's a deeper conversation for another time...

@@Courtdog2k3 I think you are the most delusional person to comment yet if you think that based OTA’s it disproves what I am saying. You clearly established yourself as such with your comments that will not age well. You'll have to ignore yourself moving forward but your credibility will be trash. You made a KZfaq video so you watched what? Full games? As for highlights, you do realize most people don't watch full games for every player right? You acting like you did is cute but then you said Bo Nix so either you didn't watch or you're an idiot. I think it's both but again, let's remove my expertise because what do I know, right? So then Let's put your word vs anybody that YOU RESPECT NATIONALLY (this goes for your Cosigners too) do they echo what you're saying or what I'm saying. I'll wait? So when you call me an idiot, you're calling the majority of people who do this for a living for far longer than you have so when Jayden fails and Bo Nix thrives. You'll be the smart guy. Now if you're a betting man, what's the Vegas odds on your dumbass opinion? You think it pays $1.10 to every dollar or $100 to 1? Don't let your ego miss the point I just made. And you severely down played what I said. It's been months of nothing but film study and breakdowns from everyone. Kurt Warner has a podcast breaking down QBs, idiot I guess. Jay Gruden, ESPN every two days, street scores, Louie Tee, locked on commanders, the commanders show with smoot/Logan, Santana and London. 👍🏾 could literally LITERALLY name any respected outlet like say Pro football focus. All of these will say what I been saying so I'm sorry I had to bag you like this in your own KZfaq section but you asked for it. 😂

@@JustAnFootballGuy I'm delusional but you erased my last reply because I said too much truth 🤣 I'll repeat it tho, Peyton manning, Pro football focus, ESPN, most of National media have all done film breakdown on the top prospects and they mostly disagree with you and echo what I said. So when you call me an idiot, realize you're feeling yourself too much and between you erasing my original response and your failure to understand what I actually said. Is why you're not smart at all. You just trying to fill a void with the hate and the Bo Nix love. It's cool, what did you think about CJ last year? Let me see, I got time today... Edit: So it appears that you have a dislike for black QBs as most your videos about them are in negative lights while you prop up the white ones who haven't garnered any attention. It was quite amusing looking at the titles of your videos. Well sir, good luck on your ventures in attempting to be the new skip. It's time to stick the proverbial fork in this jive turkey. Maybe I can come back and update with an even better post tomorrow 😎

Oh what's that he lost? He had a big game against a 7-4 Texas team. He's not mahomes, he's not Mayfield, hell he's Daniel Jones. Watch him go 3-14 for 5 year straight. He's not a game changer.
