I'm not going to say that Washington Commanders will intentionally disappoint the fan base. They will hopefully make the correct choice at the quarterback position. I want Jayden Daniels but trust the new regime until they give me reasons not to. This isn't the Dan Snyder 🤡 regime, so things so far look better. I feel the fan base has been traumatized from years of inept ownership. Let's look at things differently and not draw negative energy towards the team. Let's go Washington Commanders!!!!🙃🙂

The leak could come from other teams. Maybe someone in the Vikings camp is telling Schefter that if they want Daniels, they will have to trade with us because Viking feels that Peters is hinting that he wants Daniels. Perhaps someone from Vegas camp is telling Schedter that they want Daniels, but Washington is leaning towards Daniels. Perhaps New England is telling Schedter that they're planning their draft as if Washington will take Daniels. So I think this is why Schedter is saying what he's saying. It's not necessarily from Washington, but from sum of information from other teams.

RG3 has nothing to do with future QBs but the current league mvp is Lamar Jackson. RG3 was highly accurate coming out of college, and his downfall was related to things off the field just as much as on the field. Race in this country and sport factor. Tom Brady got the benefit of every doubt to the point if you sneezed on him it was a flag. RG3 the league allowed players to hit him late and often. The way RG3 was promoting himself, the league didn't want all that imo. Who this negroe think he is type stuff. And I'm not saying that without evidence. Former players expressed regret for hitting RG3 saying defensive coordinators would instruct them to try to injure RG3 (with late hits/etc) RG3 would put his hands up to show the refs he didn't have the ball, no other QB in the history of the league HAD TO DO THAT JUST TO STAY UPRIGHT and you blame RG3 for that? After the constant pounding, his accuracy then took a dive. Do you remember game 1 vs the saints. I'll never forget how calm and collected he was in the pocket. Now if you wanna worry about size (pause) did you feel this strongly about Taylor Heineke? How about Kirk Cousins? (6'3 - 205lbs)You see how your perception has been curated? JD is 6'4 210lbs and this is coming out of college (they bulk up in the NFL) And Kirk's weight is him NOW. Most QBs are between 215-225 in weight. TBC...

Many many many think Washington will select Daniels. There is nothing that says he is their guy. It could be Maye or McCarthy. How about Penix? Nix? Adam Schefter shouldn’t be telling Washington fans that it’s okay to get a Daniels jersey. From what Adam Peters said at the combine about finding a QB, Daniels is not the pick. You noticed that he never said, “his sources within the commanders tells him”. He’s said, talking to other GMs leads me to believe, Jayden is trending to be the pick. I personally can’t wait for draft day because I believe this will be another incident where Adam was wrong and I just want to read all the reactions.

Personally I think it’s a bit of both. Frankly I think we love both of them and it’s 50:50. Personally I feel like we want to trade down with the pats as we feel the pats want Daniels. Only reason I say that is why have a meeting with maye and McCarthy if your so locked in on Daniels

You can be sure the pick will be at 2, they will not trade down and risk someone getting a better QB than us. Of the 3, I think Maye is a distant 3rd. They will either take the more accurate, higher upside JD, or best game manager with JJ. Footwork and accuracy issues with Maye.

If you really want to know what Peters is thinking IF this QB stuff is a smokescreen, search on YT vid "Talking Washington Commanders NFL Draft With Former NFL Scout Daniel Kelly!" I would say this vid captures the thought process I think any competent GM would be going through and based on my tea leaves I think Peters is going the build a winner route instead of the sell tickets route. Yes, Snyder would have drafted an elite QB no matter what to sell tickets.

I don't know much about running a NFL franchise. But it seems to me that we're doing almost the exact same thing that we did for the last two years. We go out and get the best qb we can afford and throw him behind a terrible Oline and then we blame the qb when chaos erupts. This strategy hasn't worked at all so far.

I don't think they draft him... I think they draft Maye and all his problems...what franchise drafts a QB at #2 that needs to sit?... I think they are dumb as a box of rocks....they see Herbert and Allen....I don't...I think Maye is going to be a historic bust....his footwork is terrible...his accuracy is very inconsistent...he has an elongated throwing motion which will lead to picks...he drifts into sacks because he has 0 pocket presence....he will be thrust into starting...because #2 picks don't sit....its an abject disaster waiting to happen....we don't have time to fix all of his problems....I can see these morons passing on JD5....smh

Shefty was saying that the people he talked to think Daniels is the 2nd best QB therefore he should be the pick. If other executives think that Daniels is that what makes you think AP doesn’t? Not only that you gotta realize that even the Bears haven’t said that they’re taking Williams. They literally can’t bcuz the NFL told them they can’t bcuz people won’t tune into the draft if everyone knows the picks and it messes up the betting too. It’s also clear that Daniels is the better QB out of who’s after Williams. No matter how much people think Maye can be good he’s not right now thus not worthy of a high pick like that. Selecting JD is shortsighted and is against what AP said of “Long Term Franchise Success”. I trust AP but thinking he will only need one draft to turn it around is denialism. Why does this talking point exist that JD is better in the Air Raid when Drake’s best season was under but his traits/skills can adapt to other OC schemes if they ever decide to go another route.

Maye can run, not as fast as JD, but he’s also bigger and in my thinking, not as big an injury risk. I remember RG3. He’s younger with probable higher ceiling, stronger arm. That being said, while my preference is Maye, if JD is who they go for, I’m okay with that. It’s refreshing to feel positive about upcoming draft and season.

John Keim is his beat reporter on the ground. They are ESPN people. Adam Schefter has 32 insiders throughout the league working for him. Keim is very sneaky and not to be trusted. Adam Peters already has his number. Keim put on an interview with Dan Quinn yesterday thats over a month old. He's attempting to make this look relevant. Its not. Keim is cut out of the loop. Players are on high alert. They are just playing games.

Hey Rio, I like your show, I watch your show all the time. But I hate to break it to you, you will be heart broken again this year. The Dan Snyder era is over and Ron Rivera is no longer in charge. We have a real GM that knows how to draft players and a real head coach. And there is no way in hell they are going to draft Jayden Daniels or J.J McCarthy. Everyone needs to get over it and buy their Drake Maye jerseys. Mark my words and I'll speak to you after the draft.

I agree if a team is saying they’re drafting someone, it’s probably not true and they want to see what other teams are willing to give up for that player. I think they’re taking Maye.
