This is a terrific interview with a band member not much heard from. Moby Grape were truly the American Beatles.

Don I was an INSTANT Moby Grape fan at the first notes of Hey Grandma in 1967 when I was an up and coming drummer at age 14. You , the Byrds , and Buffalo Springfield were and remain the bands I listen to more than anyone to this day. What a great interview you gave . We modeled our band after the three above mentioned bands and all of us in the band were just huge lovers of y'all's music and we tried our best to cover your songs as best as we could. Thanks for all the massive inspiration you gave me which I will forever cherish. God bless you and yours !

Just by chance I listoned to a moby grape album this morning before finding this interview brilliant music love Listoning to them

I met Don several years ago when we were both involved with kids sports, talk turned to what, where, when and Don brought up his time(s) with Moby Grape. What a resource of S.F. sound information. We had a great talk about our past experiences with the music world and contacts with - mostly past on my part, stars. Great guy, sweet and kind. Good luck Don.
