They and not the players are the problem - I agree. They had a chance to improve the team in the offseason but chose to sit on their hands. Fire the management team and let the new managers rebuild the team.

Jays need to lose Atkins,Shapiro, John Schneider, Vlad, Bo, Kirk and Springer ASAP Vlad and Kirk lost the Jays the game. They combined 0-8 and did nothing multiple times with runners in scoring position.

How many times do Atkins and Schnieder need to screw up before you let then go and hire people who know baseball. No sale unless you get rid of management and fire them now to see how new management will affect team performance. If we keep management as is trades and sales will destroy this team. The vision held by Atkins, Shapiro and Schneider is terrible. They have dragged a good team into the basement.

@@christopherblack4520 the closest they have been to winning with under his leadership. he did set the franchise back with all the prospects he let go but lets be honest. any of those prospects he got rid of were all middle of the road players that wouldn't help them get any closer to a pennant

The players we need hitting simply suck at clutch moments. Schneider has been trying to shake things up and i get that bit putting Springer in to pinch hit was such a bad move. The bullpen isnt good enough to shut teams down either.

John S is a good manager (at the minor league level where mistakes are tolerated so as to learn from them), but so many mistakes can't be tolerated at this level.) He needs to be let go to make room for a manager with considerable major league experience. There are several out there.

wtf is he supposed to do? hes getting awful information from Atkins and has a team that cant hit, the bullpen is trash, his hands are tied what is he supposed to do different? martinez hasnt consistently "mashed" anyone at this level. the blue jays fans are quickly becoming the worst and dumbest fans in the MLB

The Jays have fewer home runs and hits than the Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox. Who needs homers when you have Daulton Varsho's infield popups and defensive runs saved and years of control? BEST OUTFIELD DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE !!!!! Teoscar Hernandez has 19 home runs. More than Vlad+George+Bo combined. Even Gurriel Jr. has more homeruns than Vlad and he can hit in the playoffs, unlike no show Vlad.

Was at the game yesterday and found it funny how Schneider talks about the rules of the ballpark. Every time he asked the fans to either not smoke or drink responsibly, I would laugh and say the minute he does his job, is the minute I'll do my part. Lit up a cig every inning and drank 42 beers.

Does anyone else think that Springer's decline is causing the team's decline? Getting rid of him should be priority number 1. Who cares abour Rogers money. Hes leading the team downward by example. If you guys did a video on this, you could show it through the statistics. It seems like ehen he hits well, the team hits well and vice versa.

I don't think it's the players fault. It's not just 1 or 2 players in a slump. It's been the entire team for the past year +. I don't believe this is a player problem. It's a manager/coaching problem.

My expectations are that this team will miss the playoffs (hope for WS but not looking good), the reason to watch now is to see the kids play and then see what they can do next year (hopefully without Turner and Kiermaier).

The onus is mainly on the players.... Atkins must go for many reasons, John S. is not the issue sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't.

When Springer was put in to pinch-hit, I just wanted to turn the game off. He’s having a rough go so why put him in over others. Made no sense. We need a change.

You don't have to fire John Snyder. But send him down to the triple-a. Where he was before and where he was so productive with the young players. Don't forget, Don Mattingly. Is there for one of the most productive baseball managers in history? Give him a shot at it, see what happens

the owner i guess is ed rogers you never see him at the game, he obviously would be pointed out by dan schulman and the sportsnet broadcast of the blue jays games . so that tells me he does not care about the team. Or he would have an emergency meeting with the board of directors and discuss whether they should fire the gm president and manager because they have obviously fucked up the team

i dont understand the optimism this team has shown 0 ability to win more than 3 games in a row. the offense stinks and now the bullpen is disabled so they cant win close games. this team is not even entertaining. i miss 2021

You’re down by one in the eight with one of the best closers in baseball coming up the ninth. Varsho gets on. Schneider’s thought pattern is let’s not steal a base at any point in the next three at bats even though Varsho has decent speed. Then with one out he pulls a player that has hit an home run off the pitcher on the mound and puts in a player that has a sub .200 average on the season. Then with the final at bat instead of bringing in Janson you leave Kirk a sub .200, extremely slow catcher in the game and he grounds out.

Springer is officially the 26th man on the roster, in my view. Unless they want to cut him, that is what he is. I'd get rid of Kiermaier via trade (eat some money) and make Springer a late-inning defensive replacement (Kiermaier's role without starts). We are not just talking bottom of the order here; we are talking no more starts for Springer.

It"s a combination of players underperforming and a manager who should not be in MLB, at best he is an A or AA manager, I'm sure he's a really nice guy 'n stuff but this team needs a real MLB manager with experience, someone who is not afraid to hurt delicate feelings, the object of the game is to win. Sit the vets who are simply not playing well and let the kids play, they need experience and if we're going to lose then at least the younguns gain playing time in the majors. These guys are no fun to watch, at best, if they're lucky, a .500 team.

Schapiro hired a rookie GM ( Atkins ) who hired a rookie manager ( Montoya ) and then replaced him with another rookie manager ( Schneider ). Either Schapiro is a micromanager and/or no one experienced wants to work for him. Either way the first change needs to happen at the top. Why Jansen didnt pinch hit for Kirk down a run in the eighth inning with a man on base is proof Schneider is not qualified to manage a team with aspirations to make the playoffs. Fire Atkins and Schneider and Schapiro wont do it then fire Schapiro.

we already know that shapiro is an awful micro manager. its the reason AA left and went to Atlanta. then he helped them build a contending team.. after he left the year he made toronto a contending team in 2015..

@@MrRicobadass After Alex Anthopoulos made a mess in Toronto he went to LA did nothing to help then he went to Atlanta a team already built he did nothing. AA was hated in Toronto did not win anything just made bad trades signed bad contracts and did not want the blame the team needed to rebuild.

@@christopherblack4520 anthopolous did the best he could at the time. the bad contracts were for a win now team. it was a win now team that just fell short. those contracts would have looked great if they would have won a WS. but the lack of a WS title made him look worse than it was. Anthopolous needed to be left alone and do what he needed. Shapiro looking over his shoulder isnt what he needed. Shapiro is useless.

These players are capable of hitting the ball. But the coach needs to go. He has done many questionable moves going back to last year. You got a GM that sucks and does nothing. You have an owner that prefers to reno the Rogers Center instead of putting money into product on the field. As long as these head cases are in charge, we have the same result every year at this point. That is why I lost interest in this team a while ago. My second team Boston at least is turning a corner. The best Jays teams were 1985, 1987, 1993, and 2015. Those teams were what the Blue Jays were as opposed to this nonsense now. They need a big change to happen...who knows.

Addison Barger had said that he had hit a home run off of him before. Springer needs to be sent down to triple A and let the Buffalo boys play. Schneider needs to go.

The Blue Jays made the biggest mistake possible! They should have canned Shapiro and Atkins first. Schneider can only use what Atkins says. Atkins is Schneider’s boss. Then, give Schneider a chance to see 8f he does things different without Atkins around. Atkins is a big talker. “ Heap big smoke, but no fire”. That’s Atkins. We’ll do this at the trade deadline and we’ll do that! We’re going to be very active at the trade deadline. Yap yap yap yap, and on it goes, from Atkins mouth. Comes the time for action, Atkins crawls away and hides. Figure it out from there!

Get rid of Atkins and John Schneider. Get someone in there that will light a fire under the players. Vlad is just about the worst. He runs off the field faster than he runs to first base when he manages to hit a ball. He is lazy and definitely not his father. The bullpen needs serious help. The first step though is to get rid of the management that is making such poor decisions be that for acquisitions or game play.

I am still fuming at vlad. 7th inning 2-0 count. the next pitch...he didn't even flinch as he left the bat on his shoulder and watched a 90mph cutter that didn't cut go right down the middle. Seriously if you dissected the strike zone it would have been dead centre! Then he starts swinging at pitches inside off the plate and grounds out!!! Vlad has to be the dumbest player in mlb right now.

Atkins needs to be gone YESTERDAY! No doubt, Schneider has also made some horrible moves...pinch hitting Springer is just one of many. BUT. At some point it is on the players to start performing. They need to start hitting. That's what it comes down to.

Daulton Varsho stranded on 1st last night, not turned loose to steal. The fastest man on the team...a one run game...8th inning. What a complete waste of space Schneider is! Boston literally stole the game out from under Schneider and his lame-brain trust. OUT OUT OUT!
