Fans, please listen closely to what Tatum is saying about his mental-state as a professional in the league; how depressed they get after a huge loss, the pressure to prove that they’re great, the relentless work it takes to succeed. The way that y’all slander, scrutinize, and crush these individuals for falling short in a sport that requires great TEAM-effort, is insane. Most of you don’t put yourselves in their shoes or understand all that has to go right for them to win, yet you discredit their legacies and their character everyday. Troll accounts, hate pages, spreading narratives on every video of them. These guys are humans who deserve respect. The way he said that he thinks about losing in that Finals EVERY DAY and obsesses over what he could’ve done differently…it really hit home. NBA players have Sports Psychologists for a reason, and a lot of it comes from 85% of y’all. This community needs to be better.

this guy has found a way to be vulnerable and not sound whiny. guys, especially athletes, tend to get a lot of scrutiny for talking about their struggles, insecurities, reasons for not winning, how hard it is to win, etc. but he is just so genuine it just pulls you in and you really hear him out.

I love how he mentioned how for the Celtics to go from the 11th seed to the 2nd seed, they had to play the last 35-40 games like their life depended on it. And then after that, made it to the Finals after playing two 7-game series. I feel like everybody acknowledged that they had a tough playoff journey because of the back-to-back 7 game series but, oftentimes, the media made it seem like they purposely put themselves in those compromising situations where their season was on the line. How easily was it forgotten that they literally dug themselves out of a huge hole during the 2nd half of the regular season to then make it to the finals!? That's unheard of! Of course they were GASSED! For him to emphasize that he had nothing left shows that, at the end of the day, no matter how many sizable feats they overcome - they're still human. Yes, he's young and has accomplished so much in a short period of time but he still deserves grace. These players are harder on themselves than anyone can ever be.He's so grounded and sure of himself, It's going to take him far - talent aside. After this interview, how can you not believe in him and the C's

Tatum has all the makings for being one of the faces of the league. He’s a killer on offense, he’s plays his heart out on defense, he’s humble, he’s constantly trying to get better, and he understands that you need to give back to the game. Hopefully people remember that his 6 games in the finals were some of his worst games ever and that he has been amazing for the entirety of his career. People think he’s inconsistent as a whole now when I watch almost all his games and that’s just not true, he may have an off shooting night but he gets 10 assists in that game he knows how to impact games in a winning way.

The way Rooks stood by her definition of what she thinks superstar is made me really respect her as a top interviewer/talk-host. Got to be intimidating to tell a "borderline" superstar what a "superstar" is and how many of them she belives there is. All in all i really like her! She's doing a great job interacting, articulating great questions which make them (in this case, JT) formulate wellthought answers.

@Alex F he’s a superstar just accept it like y’all clowns rlly feed into these dumb ass narratives like a ring doesn’t determine if u are a superstar bc if that’s the case khris Middleton a superstar, jrue holiday a superstar,Jordan Poole, Andre Wiggins, draymond green a superstar,Kyle Lowry, pascal, Fred,pj tucker etc who all won but wasn’t even the best player on their team lol come now make this make sense a ring doesn’t make u a superstar it just makes u a winner and something to show for as a accomplishment

well clearly from this sit down, Tatum displays to the audience his humble beast. Simply a humble beast, like G Herbo. Respect.
