My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa. Paris (yes the one in France) has been my home for years now and I have every intention of staying here for as long as they'll have me. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much. Now I make videos about visiting Paris, traveling in Europe, and try to share what I've learned along the way. I hope you enjoyed what you found.

Wow that was a bit of a hectic day 😊. That “dive” looks like a lot of the bars near me - just really relaxed and no hassle. A fashion show is going to be real fun 👍👍

I *love* Cayo. It's my local specialty coffee shop and roasters (still 2km from home but definitely the closest) and they serve great coffee as well as great food. I'm going to run out of beans soon so another visit in the near future is called for!

Bercy Parc maybe. Some years back there was a heron in a small pond at the metro stop. My husband found it while spending mornings at the library when we were staying in a chilly little place in the Goutte d'Or. At first I didn't even notice it runs along the Seine. Bridge aways down with many steps up gives a great view back towards Notre Dame. Ligne 14 deserves some love. :)

Cool! It’s been great watching your videos recently. I was one of those people who watched your daily vlogging. I understand, it’s not sustainable. It wasn’t sustainable for me, living in California, and brain knew what time you posted. Was that 2am PST. Ouch!

I had to go find on map and it did not seem that far out on end of Paris. I visited the Zoo and La Cite de la Musique and both are more out of the centre of town. My 3 cents Canadian.

@@JaySwanson Took some digging to find that the 'perif' was the big ring road. The musical instrument museum was inside but the Zoo and the Chateau Vincennes were outsite. I take it locals consider that road akin to the end of the Earth. LOL. Only recently found you vlog. Fun stuff. I like the interjected cuts like the 'this is me thinking while I run.'

Aah, Paris. Unfortunately, my favourite newspaper is no longer printed there, so I will no longer be at my favourite table at Deux Magots reading it from mid-morning until lunchtime. The Metro carriages look much improved since the last time I saw Paris.

@@JaySwanson - It's tough. There are definitely things I prefer about Windows as an OS over MacOS (not to mention being stuck with Apple's ridiculous/criminal pricing tiers for additional RAM and storage), but they are tough to beat when it comes to great performance with amazing battery life.
