Yes, Eddie Murphy is the Pharaoh, Magic Johnson (former basketball player with the L.A. Lakers...) is the Presenter of Entertainment, and Iman (the widow of David Bowie - a Super Model and business woman...) is the Egyptian Queen that (in this clip...) kissed Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson's music videos are like Mini Movies - and true works of art. The track turns 30 this year, and this video will surely be watched (and enjoyed...) by many generations to come!

Right On! Michael along with David Bowie co own The Beatles Catalogue at last report. David Bowie was close with John Lennon who wrote "Fame" for him (Not The Irene Cara Song). Iman got her start working with Fashion Designer Halston in the 1970's, and she also worked with Jermaine Jackson on "Do What You Do". Also this Album was Produced by Teddy Riley of Guy as well as Blackstreet.

@laminage I am curious about your statement that Lennon wrote "Fame" for Bowie? From my understanding after watching several BBC documentaries about Bowie where Carlos Alomar (who came up with the riff) & along with Earl Slick & Bowie were recording at Electric Lady Studios & Lennon stopped by while they were fooling around with this tune & it was created rather on the fly. Bowie had actually performed an early version of this tune BEFORE it became FAME with his band & Alomar on the Dick Cavett Show a few months earlier (which I had actually watched as a teen). This was also during Lennon's "lost weekend" & I heard him in an interview say that he was impressed with Bowie's arsenal of talents. Not to take anything away from Lennon, his accomplishments are major & he did contribute, but I think it would be unfair to say he wrote the song for Bowie. Not trying to be contrary or disrespectful here in any way, just a life-long Bowie fan trying to share info whenever I can. Peace & love to you. 🙏🙏🙏

This is one of my all time favourite micheal Jackson songs, the video is amazing too , almost a whole movie . I grew yup listening to the Jackson five and the micheal when he went solo , I was born 1958 the same year as micheal ,so sad he left this world way before his time .

This is why Michael Jackson will forever be the King of Pop. No singer, no performer came close to his creativity and output. MJ was a category of one.

The unannounced appearance of celebrities being in this video was a very clever and refreshing twist. It brought in some fun antics from some fun people instead of just back up dancers. Michael Jackson had done so many breakthrough things in his videos that it is hard to find something new to top the last but still he managed to do it. 👍🏻

The one the only King Of Pop, Legend.👑 Michael loved everything Egyptian, that's why he chose the theme. 😎👌👑 Yes pharaoh wife & Michael's music always speaks to your soul.👌 They broke the mold when Michael was made that's for sure, been a fan for 41 years & will continue to be.❤️

I have been a Michael Jackson fan since I was four years old. I’m 33 now. I love watching other people, especially the generation behind me , get that pure joy and excitement from watching him for the first time, that I did then and still do now. Keep watching these MJ videos. They will NEVER disappoint. And btw, when this video came out, IT WAS AN EVENT, HONEY! I’ll never forget it! It premiered on BET, VH1, MTV, and I think Fox at the same time! Michael had the networks SHUT DOWN!

I am so glad you reacted to this one. I LOVE this song so much and the video was almost like a movie! It is one of my favorite videos by MJ. I love Eddie Murphy in this, with David Bowie's wife, Iman playing Eddie Murphy/Pharoh's wife in the video. She is stunnily beautiful... Model and all that! The guy ringing the gong is Magic Johnson- Basketball star! I think this was around the time he found out he had AIDS. The Pharoh's wife is VERY INTERESTED in MJ hahaha!! Eddie Murphy's facial expressions are SO funny... haha (My comments are before I see you react) Agree after watching, MJ's voice was beautiful in this... I know he always wanted to keep the high voice, but his lower voice was just a great.
