This is like unlocking a cheat code. For years Ive wondered how these jazz lines sound random and chaotic yet somehow melodic at yhe same time. Its actually not as random as it sounds. Excellent content.

While convalescing from a shattered right wrist 10/3/18. Your knowledge was a life saver. At university, the classical study of music did not expose me to the "bebop" sound. Your method of understanding the use of chromatics has changed my life. I can't thank you enough!! Have been enjoying for so long.

As a life long guitar player (50 years) I’m inspired by your approach to teaching. I’d appreciate more practical exercises on melodic uses of triads and triad pairs. Using triad pairs to create interesting melodic passages. Also using pentatonic scales with triad pairs. Thank you!

I've been following and enjoying your videos and as a guitar player it's difficult to approach the tempo of your sax examples. Having a guitarist playing in a video makes it a little less daunting of a workout. I am not a big fan of guitar tab, but I understand many rely on this and it will attract more viewers. I like to be thorough, so if I need to I'll write exercises out and find as many fingerings as possible. Great video!!! Keep them coming.... with guitar.

I'm a keyboard hack, playing more guitar (hack) these days.. and I'm really being inspired by the simple but mighty useful concepts you illustrate... but although I well understand the theory... and follow the notation easily, I just don't have the dexterity or knowledge of the notes on the fretboard (yet)... Again, some very good ideas to 'steer' the low-level improv I play. Thanms a heap for all your videos.
