Pat is a legend but the European gypsy jazz masters are just in a league of their own . My assumption is the "gyspy rest stroke" picking technique gene is what makes the aural difference. I know Jazz was born in the USA but Europe seems to breed the virtuosos.

Angelo's playing is so tasteful and melodic compared to most other of the big names in gypsy jazz.

Yes I agree..although great respect to Stochelo Rosenberg, he gets tiring to listen to...too flashy all the time!

Flashy ?! with respect, Angelo plays 3x as many notes as Stochelo. Are you thinking of the peerless Bireli Lagrene ?

The European gypsy jazz artists just about beat the pants off anything on the American jazz scene ... I'm tempted to move to France or Belgium just to be able to watch musicians like DeBarre or Stochelo or Bireli Lagrene in person.

Angelo Debarre est pour moi un virtuose et musicien absolument génial! A mon goût, sûr c’est enregistrement, sa guitare de type Mccaferri, amplifiée avec un pickup a pour effet d’enlever un peu de charme à cette merveilleuse musique. But Great thanks!

abgesehen von der tollen musik furztrocken. warum jongliert angelo nicht während des bass solos? oder trägt einen lustigen hut? there is no business like show business. make them laugh.... 810 likes, stand heute, für tolle musik, 5 jahre vorher hochgeladen. muss man nicht mal katzen bemühen.... gib m.E. den leuten etwas mehr als fingerakrobatik. lächeln zb. und nicht nur in der letzten sekunde des applauses. die bornierte fresse von birelli ist noch schlimmer. oha, ich lege los... birelli live gesehen.1988. sympathie? nein.coole gitarre, ja. thats all.
