Dr. Billy Taylor was probably the first jazz musician I saw perform live. A long time ago I attended some type of youth jazz concert at Carnegie Hall (1970's) I didn't really remember the concert that much, just that he was speaking and playing piano.

All my faves together....what could be better. Listen to that bass. Gary Burton is one of the most astounding musicians in Jazz, and Stanley Turrentine is a legend . . .

Terrific!! I've been a professional jazz musician for well over 50 years. In all that time, this is the first time I can recall ever hearing Turrentine play straight-ahead Be-Bop. Thanks much for this.
