I have a fun story to tell. Approximately 20 years ago I and two friends went to a Cracker Barrel off the interstate in Eastern Pennsylvania. We walked in to the hostess, and she said we are going to seat you next to Liza Minnelli. I said Liza Minnelli, she said yes she just came in right before you. So she seated us, and there she was Liza Minnelli approximately 10 ft away from us sitting there with a man I think was possibly her boyfriend but not sure, and a bodyguard. They were ordering their food and she got a big meal. We kept laughing because one of the guys with us was much younger and he did not know who Liza Minnelli was and he kept saying who the heck is Liza Minnelli, and I kept saying it's the daughter of Judy Garland and then he said who the heck is Judy Garland, And that kept making us laugh. Liza Minnelli looked over at us and said that we were a fun group. They finished up eating and she ordered apple pie with vanilla ice cream. We then left and I drove around the back of the restaurant and there was her tour bus sitting there with Liza Minnelli right across the side of the bus. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻👍🏻

I've worked for 2 different Cracker Barrel stores. One in Buford GA, the other in Murfreesboro TN. The one in GA was awesome! Our best sellers were Coca-Cola cake, camp fire Chicken, Sunday Fried chicken, and our pancakes 🥞

I like Cracker Barrel like it is, old time look. I hope they don't end the store section.

I've been with the company for almost 29 years and I gotta say that our bee sting sauce might just be the best thing we've ever introduced. It's fun to make in the kitchen and it smells amazing when we're cooking it. Everyone needs to try it! Bee careful though, it's hively addicting. 🐝🌶

Worked for Crackerbarrel for 4 years & their ribeye steak was the best I know their sirloin is delicious too but that ribeye was out of this world. I waited on a man that usually ate at OB restaurant every night he asked how good our steaks were he had never eaten one at Crackerbarrel, he told me he enjoyed it more than OB . He changed restaurants & saved hisself a lot of money . That’s for sure .

It's a super great value and I do it weekly. lol Yep still eating at the Barrel four years after retirement, I never tire of it. Livin on the edge huh John. One more thing , my friend and l drive a lot from West Palm beach to the NC mountains . We always use Cracker Barrel as a rest stop to stretch our legs . Last summer l wound up with a very expensive huge 20 lb Santa holding a light up sign . Best rest stop ever !!!!

That's a good looking cook on that steak. After seeing that I actually want to hit up the Cracker Barrel for a steak. On a side note I appreciate your ability to separate the good or bad preparation of the food and your personal preferences in food. All while seeming to give a very honest review.

I ate there a few days ago. I'm convinced that every single thing I was served had been cooked, frozen, and reheated. The biscuits were hard as rocks. I asked for a glass of milk; they brought out a carton and a plastic glass. No reason to doubt the reports that all the food is now cooked off-site and reheated before it's served.

All of the food looked so good! Especially the steak! On a side note.. As always.. Bobbie looked so pretty! (But today was on another level)!😊. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into sharing these videos with us.

CB has also been in the news because their new CEO (I forget her name) has been applying her experience running places like Chili's. From what I've heard, she does not understand or respect the clientele of CB.

One of the best things on the menu that they removed years ago was the French toast with a tart cherry topping. They also sold the cherry topping in the gift shop. Removing that was a big mistake. Pancake was horribly greasy.

We have not had a good experience with Cracker Barrel. I think we had good food there one time out of the many times we’ve been there. We usually only stop there when traveling when we stop in a town we don’t know and just want somewhere we can sit down and eat. Pancakes are always burnt, eggs are always cooked terribly wrong, burnt muffins, burnt chicken, no fresh half n’ half for the coffee, and I can count on one hand the amount of times they actually bothered to give us any biscuits. We just can’t justify eating there anymore. Anyway thanks for the video though! I hope y’all’s food was good!

Probably been 20 years since I went there. Always loved their cornbread. Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken and Dumplings. Food was always good. And the shop is very good.

When ever were traveling we typically hit Cracker Barrel at least once. I love the fact that you can get breakfast all day and or something different like you got.

My favorite entree is the rainbow trout. I never liked turnip grrens until i tried them at cracker barrel. I even eat them raw from the grocery store now. I usually get sourdough as the bread choice. Ive always loved their fried okra except the last time, as they didnt taste cooked.

this is a great review ,the food looked great ,my wife favorite place when we travel from ohio to florida , but i am very concerned about cracker barrel staying in business their financials' has been declining since january just like red lobster they closed 7 red lobsters in ohio this week , thank you for everything you do

Great video. You were asking if CB sold the steak seasoning. Years ago they sold a seasoning for baked potatoes. I can not find it anymore. I wish they would bring them back. You are not alone about Jaws. I think i was like 12/13'yrs old . It gave me so many nightmares. Now I am scared of the ocean.

Good for John eating cooked greens. Everything looked great! Last time I went to CB they gave me vegan breakfast sausage.. I kept telling my waitress something is wrong with it. She insisted it was real. I think maybe she or the cook didn't know the difference . I haven't been back to eat there, I just step in to shop...

I see where some people are saying Cracker Barrel isn't relevant anymore. That's hogwash. The restaurant needs to stay the same. Advertise more about what they are about. It's a good ole country throwback restaurant. Casual, country store browsing, take your time and sit on the front porch a minute. It's not a rush place to eat, and wasn't ever meant to be. There is one thing I kinda wish they hadn't done. Offer alcohol. Reason being, it's a family restaurant, kids, etc. I never associated cracker barrel with alcohol sales. Maybe the management needs to review that. Is that possibly hurting instead of helping visitation.

I just recently went to CB and ordered the roast beef.. it had so much pepper in it,that I had to send it back. Got the chicken and dumplings,which was delicious.. I heard they were closing several locations,however that could just be a rumor,I hope.

Why change a menu that is iconic and very successful? I used to go to Cracker Barrel almost every weekend just to get the "eggs in a basket." For some reason they decided more than a year ago that this item could no longer be offered. So, I then I decided that I'd no longer, be a patron. Their portions also kept shrinking. And shrinking. They need to get rid of the store portion and concentrate on the restaurant. I loved eating those "eggs in a basket, a bacon strip and a hash brown casserole, with a side pancake with natural syrup. So good. I miss those days.

Our favorite place. We do miss the Blackberry Tea, but my wife likes the Watermelon Lemonade. I think my wife has bought every salt n pepper shakers sets that the restaurant has offered in the past 5 years.

Your food looked delicious! Cracker Barrel is our all-time favorite restaurant, although they have made some changes over the years not for the better. I tried the new NY strip steak recently , it was good, but mine didn’t have any seasoning on it and it was tough, but still very good. It was late at night, so I’ll give them some grace. The mashed potatoes were delicious! Definitely gotta go back and try the bee sting chicken tenders! I do not like the idea of the new “concept” restaurants they have, judging by a review of one I watched. The wooden doors were gone, and the wooden floors too. It just looks too “fancy”, not my same old Cracker Barrel. The store part even looked a little different.😢 I like the antiques around the store, it’s a signature of Cracker Barrel. My advice to them is just give us the good country food we love, and don’t try to modernize the stores, just keep them clean! That’s a pet peeve of mine these days, first thing I notice when I go in a restaurant is how clean the doors are. Clean doors equals clean stores! Great video! 👏🏻

I'm just surprised that the Cracker Barrel in my location in Chesapeake Virginia is still open because within five or six blocks you've got Outback Steakhouse York Steakhouse you've got seven other chains including Olive Garden Red Lobster Chili's Chipotle my Cracker Barrel parking lot is always empty
