My recommendations
Tribit stormbox micro 2 - $60 - 8/10 -
A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available
Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes
JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better
will enhance the party. Additionally, there are 2 microphones in the box (USA) and 1 microphone in the EU. I even prefer the encore to the boombox 3. New models have now better battery.

I'm really considering Authentic 300 over X3 or X4 . Since its portable in a back bagpack.

BB3 is a much better value if you are looking for something to haul around. You lose the look, and voice assistance. But, BB3 has superior battery life and top notch resistance to water and dust. Authentics line is more of a home speaker.

Let him buy it check it out. If he don't like it send it back. Everybody have there own different tast of music quality.

That stupid 700hz peak on the bb3.. sounds shouty. Even though it has the much wider soundstage, that peak makes it sound so boxy..?

@@LoFi-17 The peak doesnt seem to show up on rtings site either so idk what is up with that, some youtubers also take measurements and they get a quite the obvious peak at 700. I dont know about you but i personally hear it quite well, something in mids just sticks out a lot and it sounds kind of boxy or even metallic perhaps🤔. Maybe its the whole model number thing over again, maybe some dont have the peak while other models do. If you personally dont have or hear the peak thats alright, dont be searching for it, maybe once you recognise it, the speaker will be ruined for you😁, enjoy it as it is.

@@nicabcyou cant just point a mic at a speaker and expect to get a relevant result. Someone needs to explain this to rtings and their multi mic setup. Averaging results is pointless with dsp heavy speakers. Also i wonder sometimes if they get handpicked units or early firmware before full release firmware.

People need to stop saying that uts overpriced i just got mine for £250 on Amazon by the official jbl store. Point is jbl products are always on sale ive never got 1 full price. Also jbl sounds louder and better when plugged in this demo is on battery. (JBL should have put that in a description.)

Don't listen to this guy. He has some kind of agenda against jbl. The 500 is awesome. It's overpriced but it's not crap. If you can get it for 500 pick it up. You can't let sombody tell you what to buy.. . Buy it yourself. You don't like it, you can always take it back. You can check other reviews they would tell you 500 is a awesome speaker . It's just overpriced.

Overpriced? Yes, except for the bb3 which is now below 350 euro. That is a price that JBL is back in normal Samsung territory and not Gucci or Hermes. The Authentics series are misleading because , unlike the name, the sound is very compressed and far from Authentic. Also the price is inflated. Their goal was to counter the success of Marshall so they should have used a name related to one of their speaker systems. Your problem with power output is more a matter of communication and marketing. Alan mentions that a lot, maybe he can make a separate educational video about that topic. I don't believe that the BB3 has an amp/power supply that can supply 145W RMS over a longer period. That would mean drawing over 12 amp at 12 volt. There was an article in Elektor describing that: 'an amplifier is as good as its power supply'. An amplifier is basically a modulator of the current coming from the power supply, with a tiny input signal as a modulating source. Maybe that Alan can spend a separate video on this topic as I see many reviewers running these systems at 100 pct leading to disastrous sound. Globally it would be unfair to call it junk. I don't think that we had in the history of mankind better access to good sounding portable sound systems. The main problem I see is that marketing sometimes over-promises to sell there goods and that's why we have channels like yours to get the truth. But that was in the 80's not better when ghetto-blasters gave the impression to deliver massive sound. At least that is correct now. Most massive looking speaker systems from JBL, Soundcore, Tribit sound massive, but maybe not massive enough for all of us, so there is still some work for the sound engineers!

I won't believe that amp is as good as supply, there is so called (Input Sensitivity) where you get more loudness and sound quality with less power requirements to drive the speakers. And there is Ohm's which is basically change the power and bass frequency it can produced. for example. If the sub was 3ohms, expect the sub to go dive all the way to 38-35hz. And if 4ohms, 40-50hz 6-8ohms midbass focused with less deepness. I know it. Because i was engineer.

And wattage does matter into bass power.
@HAIYANE9910
@HAIYANE9910 25 күн бұрын
Btw, in input sensitivity 80W with input sensitivity of 98db is alittle louder than 100W with 87db input sensitivity. This means almost all of 80W that power turn into acoustic frequency, less of waste into head. Unlike 100W with 87db, that things 1/3 of its energy turn into acoustic frequency, other else wasted as heat.
