The distorted mess is the X20 right? Im seriously asking because i debated about getting one of these 2 and i went with the Boom 2 Plus because i thought the X20 sounds too distorted. Like its loud yes but whats the point of being loud if the speaker itself cant handle it? Let me know your opinions on which you think is better.

The fact that Bose is unable to control distortion and requires intervention with an equalizer makes it very cheap.. not 400$.

Xtreme 3 seems to have upward slant , where x4 has regular sound down to 400hz, then it rolls off massively, so it goes louder, but less bass

First of all, the iPhone is very crappy. Secondly, get a good Android phone and connect the Bose speaker to the aptx codec. You are still waiting for sound with SBC. Bose SBC does not work well either, it cannot show itself fully. There is music in this music, distortion is already present in every speaker. Tribit Stormbox creates distortion in Blast, Boombox 3 also does it.

Whats your current opinion on the max? Do you like the speaker as a package? The formfactor, build quality, design finish,…. How do you think this speaker compares to other portable speakers in this class?

Hey, I'm blind and am wondering if you could start saying which speaker is playing at that moment when you switch between them, or at least say which speaker you are starting with.

I don't have an extreme 4 but i do have a extreme 3 and I put it next to the Bose soundlink max and the JBL loses bass at the upper volume and certain music will distort the Bose at max volume. That being said I use pro equipment . ( Bose and JBL) and my experience is if you need full volume you need a bigger speaker. The Bose soundlink max gets louder and using the eq it sounds the best. The loudest that I would play the Bose is 80% volume which is a pretty good volume sounds amazing. That being said. I am glad bose gives a little more than it can handle on bass heavy songs because you can turn your listening to music the with this setup can get a little louder in some cases. I like having the control and options. I really like the Bose. I have a big selection of soundcore, w-king, JBL, Harmon Kardon, Dimondboxx, Tribit, Soundboks, Bumpboxx, ultimate ears, and probably some i have forgotten. LOL they all have a place. I am pl with speakers that you have to tune we the results are rewarding. The Bose is a great grab and go if you are going for quality and not just full volume 😂

I feel people are just saying JBL is bad because it made their favorite companies look like absolute jokes. And then they found soundcore and it was very close to beating JBL but people say Soundcore did beat JBL cause number one, they are poor and it takes all thier salary. Plus its better than all thier favorite companies. Sony, Soundboks, LG...JBL solo all!! I know somewhere in their hearts they can hear that JBL is better here but they just force and be stubborn and say Soundcore is better. Shame😂😂😂😂

The sony is clearly louder in this environment you wont hear much bass on these speakers You need a party box 510 or higher for enjoyable bass outdoors like this. To the people that dont know you can increase 63hz on their samsung phone equalizer and recover bass on the sony at higher volumes. The penalty for this is reduced volume However the sony is so loud it wont matter as much.

Bose's upper bass is good for outdoors x4 sounds even worse than x3 because its less bass heavy Edit: DAMN, the distortion on the bose at max

Saying everything is awful is meaningless, unless you can articulate what's wrong with it and what's better. Just makes you sound like a wanker. Playing sounds over youtube isn't a review, you might as well review a fireworks show by showing pictures of it.

Vocal sounds more clear & natural in Bose soundlink max. Your ears prefer balanced sound rather than punchy sound if you listen music for longer period.

I would like to buy a new Bluetooth speaker. The sound is very important to me, I don't really care about functions or battery life. I used to have the h&k Onyx Studio 5 and that was the best speaker I've ever heard, I really liked the clean low bass. I also had the tribit blast which I didn't like. Which speaker could you recommend to me that has a really nice low bass or generally a very good sound. Price should not be over 400€. I currently have the following on my list: jbl boombox 3, H&k Onyx Studio 8, Go + Play 3, jbl encore, Teufel Boomster and w King x20 if there are any other good ones I am open to other suggestions. Which one has the best sound and which one has the best low bass?

The sony sounds better, it also sounds louder. I would easily be able to recover bass on the sony using a samsung equalizer at higher volumes for a small trade of some volume.

Boom Plus is definately better outdoors, more punchy bass with the right eq.. and I can easy charge it in my car... not that heavy either... so if you take it with you frequently, take the boom 2 plus, if you wanna have it more stationary give the blast the go... choose wisely 😂
