When you listen to the Charge 4 in person it is a better speaker then the Charge 3. The bass is deeper and more realistic sounding and the highs are better.

Yess only you may miss out stereo and different units rolling out mine has a paper speaker some other plastic

It has a waterproof coating but it isn't goid for submerged in water to be honest

mono really isnt that bad considering that the charge 4 has better bass (than the charge 3) and great in its mids

For me having 2 speakers close together you really not hearing a stereo sound your just listening the sound on the center the only downside of charge 4 is the speaker is in right position if the speaker placed in the middle behnd the logo charge 4 is really good even if it has one speaker.

I just tried mine and I found the amplifier seems to be not fully powered up yet and I'm hoping for more volume as the flip 4 had more spare power than this one.

I agree I returned mine I wasn’t impressed with it as the jbls upgrade from the previous model , I really think jbl needs to do more on the next models when they come out

I find this speaker totally overrated. I purchased this after watching so many reviews and I was totally disappointed. My Shark boom box sounded far better. I’m returning this for something else.

I think you are wrong is the best speaker of 2018 ok tl is not waterproof but you want to take it to the pool or what you can get gg and you can go to the pool men am so angry like it has lfm do you know how loud it is .

Everybody has his own opinion but when seeing other speakers with even lower price jbl had changed into a apple product okay sound but high prices for single speaker inside

I also bought the Charge 4 because my JBL FLIP 4 was in for repair (it is again sadly) and at first I was impressed (as always) but now I think JBL did nothing with this size. The speaker really isn´t that powerful because the bass is sometimes there and sometimes isn´t I really HATE this speaker too. Sometimes it sounds good and sometimes it sounds bad. I can´t live with this speaker. I won´t recommend it to anyone. Get the FLIP 4 or 5 instead.

Well, don't EVER buy the Flip 5!!!! Get Charge 4 or 3 or Flip 4 instead and actually I like my Charge 4 for connecting it to my Flip 4 ;) listening to it alone is still very boring
