What an EXCELLENT set of demos! Playing just the right length of sample and then switching from one to the other. THANK YOU! Thanks for your work, I really could sense the tweeter in the Flip 6. (Older geysers, like me, might appreciate some broader variation in genre, like jazz and classical, e.g. Miles Davis / Thelonius Monk and perhaps Beethoven or Mozart.)

I ended up getting a flip 5 at walmart. It was on sale for $60. It sounds amazing and I honestly prefer the look of it over the 6. I'm not crazy about that giant jbl logo. Great review and sound comp.

Fantastic review!!!!!!! I have two Flip 3's (had to get two to link them for party sound in the back yard) and all these years later, they are still PERFECT!!! I've had the itch to upgrade when the Flip 5 came out with the USB C charging port. But now that the Flip 6 has a separate tweeter/woofer, STEREO party mode, EQ adjustment via the JBL app, and USB-C, I could no longer resist. Got one in red, on sale for $89 and WOW, it is WAY better sounding then the Flip 3. I'm not getting rid of my Flip 3s because I still love them. Haha! And my Go2, Go3, Clip 2, and Clip 4. Oh, and my Charge 2 that is still rocking!!!! Haha! I have a problem.

Nice video! I agree with your thoughts DLX. Sure, the Flip 6 is good as usually expected for a new model but I'm still happy with my Flip 5. I use it for listening at 30-50% volume. It does the job in my case. When I want higher volumes, I would use my Xtreme 2.

Since one week I am using jbl flip 6... I can say this is one of the best speaker. But must need to adjust sound in jbl eq. Out of box the high is headache. After playing with eq I found two different setting one for lower volume 2nd for loud volume. After all I'm very happy with my jbl flip 6. Specially for outdoor the sound is crystal clear with full rich and deep bass.

Since the flip 6 has a tweeter the woofer is more bass focused, So it sounds better, and also has the boost of not having intermodulation

So because the JBL Flip 6 has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!

Yes, the ring tone will play on the Flip, and as loudly as the speaker volume is set.

So I’m opening up a small meditation studio/20 people and I asked a couple other electronic/speaker influencers on here and they said to buy 4 JBL Flip 6’s for best surround sound.. 🤔 I would greatly I appreciate your advice and feedback on which speakers would be the best for this! 🙏💕 Thank you!!!

I know it's probably too late, but you said "studio" right? I would go with two Charge 5 speakers. Longer lasting battery and more headroom with peak volume. Sound quality wise they sound pretty darn close at low volumes. For your application, I would go with the larger, more powerful pair rather than 4 smaller/less powerful units. What did you go with?

I’m still using my Flip 3, almost 5 yrs old 🙂 I saw a Flip 3 vs Flip 5 comparison on youtube. F5 is a bit louder and has richer bass, but F3 is still pretty good! Now, against Flip 6, the difference might be more obvious, but I’m just guessing.

I like how the names of the speakers in the sound test at 4:08 are called Clip 5 and Clip 6 instead of Flip 5 and Flip 6 Nice editing mistake mate, but other than that nice review

The flip 5 IS MONO. The 6 too, but at least it’s 2-way, though nothing beats the width of 2 separate channels on the flip 4 or essential

@@PackardKotch flip 6 have reacher sound, for 2 speakers. That's makiet surround but on different level. The same speakers make it flat sound. Better have 2 that one & second taking care with pro way with different levels of sound.

I have upgraded to 6 bcuz my flip 5 died and here is my opinion , both are great actually i kinda like the design of the 6 but overall they pretty much the same maybe the 6 on higher sound is a quite bit better and the bass is also heavier bcuz the tweeter handles the highs but if u haven't one of them and u decided to get one , you definitely will have a nice experience

Hello DLX, I watched your old video that you talked about jbl Bluetooth speaker I'm planning to buy between Jbl flip 5 or charge 4, but I'm confused. I would like to know which one has the most deep sound or clean sound, I don't care about their price, size, connect plus or not, loudness, power bank, e.t.c. What I just want is deep sound and i will use it in my room only. Please I need a respond thanks.

I use to own the Jbl Charge 4 (sound is mono), I decided to return it and went with the Xtreme 4 (better sound and of course bigger size), I’m honestly not that familiar with Jbl flip line!

If you don't care about price, why are you looking at older models? The Charge 5 and Flip 6 is what you should be looking for. As for which is better of the two - it depends. With certain music the Charge 5 sounds better. With other music the Flip 6 wins it. Overall, IMO the flip 6 has better SQ more than the Charge 5. The flip 6 actually plays lower than the Chrg 5...I think about 4hz lower. The caveat with all this is the Chrg 5 plays louder overall. But you said loudness was not of any consideration so... If it was my money, I would pick up a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 7. They are selling for the same price of a Charge 5 right now on Amazon and have HUGE sound in comparison and loudness to boot. They are portable I.E. Battery powered if needed once in a blue moon. We have partyboxes, flips, charges and aside from the partybox being beasts, the Onyx is really really sweet. Nice deep lows, crisp highs and clear midrange. They are our second loudest "portable" to boot. Don't get me wrong, I'm a jBL lover...but couldn't pass up an Onyx 7 for $180 with prime!

A friend of mine runs a pawn and loan and took a bunch of flip 6's in on pawn and most of them have blown tweeters .. Definatly seems the flip 5 is more dependable and durable and the flip 6 is unlistenable without the tweeter .

Still confused should i upgrade my flip 5 to flip6. When i heard your test sound it's only little gap between this two flips, but i never heard flip 6 yet on real life. Usually it's different when i heard it by my own

Clearly, keep it. It’s the exact same speaker with a little different tuning. Too much lotto change as you said to justify the efforts of selling the older / buying the newer

At less than half price Soundcore motion Boom is a better speaker. Louder, better lows... Equalizer with the app, it can stay turned on wired to 5v usb

@@HAIYANE9910 jbl eq is very basic... The soundcore app have a 8 band eq. However,for 90$ the soundcore motion+ is smaller and sound way better. Aptx codec very good dispersion. Motion boom is 7db louder expecially under 100 hz

All of them are mono. But if you connect each orher, you can get stereo mode. It called "partyboost".

People getting all goo- goo gaa gaa over a cheap 5 cent tweeter and cross over that jbl throws in the 6 to appear to make it better.. I cant tell any difference and its the same with the charge 4 vs charge 5 ... The charge 4 sounds better as the tweeter on charge 5 actualy sounds harsh and tinny to me... Only thing Worthwile on the 6 is the 3 bar eq , but otherwise the Flip 5 is the way better buy.
