Beautiful sound. Probably the best consumer bookshelves ever made!

Yes they won the best bookshelf speaker of the year and then went on to be the best bookshelf speaker ever This speaker can compete with floor standing speakers and win !

L112 is also popular here in Korea. Of course, it is a pity that there are many people who do not know such good speakers with a modern life.^^

Me too, a pair of 1982's I bought mail order from the BX returning from the Philippines. Still have them! Stupidly Almost sold them them, but thankfully no.

I own a pair JBL 4411 almost equal like the L-112... JBL speakers are the best studio monitor ever made . Final from Mars

I agree. The 4411 is also a very good speaker. JBL has a lot of fame.^^

How would they stack up to more modern speakers in a 1000-1500 range or even the Klipsch heresy IV? They look amazing

So sweet from you system. I saw Krell KSA-150/250 on your rack. If you could match them with Krell KRC HR, they hight provide with their best and performance. I love JBL L112 as a near field studio monitor providing 3D realistic image, transient, transparency and live concert performance.
@audiodio Жыл бұрын
Nice to meet you. It seems to be using KRELL's HR free. I am currently using KBL Free. Embarrassingly, the connection with the KSA-200, which was also very good, was not good. In my personal experience, I could feel why the combination of Krell Free and Power was hard to see. I think the L112 is still a good speaker. thanks for the comments
@charliev6239 Жыл бұрын
@@audiodio KBL + KSA-200 + L112 are very excellent match already. I think you are almost in the heaven. No need to change these magic combination. Thank you for sharing us part of your heaven.

I drive mine with Carver 4.0t's. They arent as efficient as Klipschs. I use the L-112's up front and the Klipsch la Scalas in the rear of the room behind us in a surround sound system.
@audiodio3 жыл бұрын
Oh Carver 4.0t looks good, but this is my favorite configuration. Is it using L112 and Rascalar when clipped to multichannel The L112 is also good, but the L150 seems to be better.

That Marantz is beautifull but does not put them to sound at it's maximun, let say so so, one day borrow a Crest Audio CA-12 and put a passive preamp like Mccormak The Line Drive in passive mode and you will hear a speaker like double it's size and a low end bass like you have never hear it from them

@@audiodio I have a pair i bought brand new when they came out. I have refoamed the woofers 2 times. They are in pristine condition. I pulled all the drivers, crossovers and pots had them scoped by a certified JBL tech. He was amazed. They were right at factory specs. he ask me if they had been played much Uhhhhh yeah. While i had them apart I repainted the black fronts and backs and refinished the walnut veneer Im looking for original grill cloth now to finish them up. They sound beautiful and look brand new (except for the grills) but as we can all agree they are power hungry beast. I had 300 watts rms per channel into 8 ohms,( tube amp too, back in the day) and they just sucked it right up. Crystal Clear. Nothing came close to even touching them. DB meter said 107 db and that was about 50% gain you dont see them around much though they were very expensive even back then. i dont know if i could part with them It would take a dime for sure.
