You can’t do stereo Bluetooth with the PRXs. They are not designed for that. You must daisy chain them via XLR in mono.

In the market for a compact line array, which would you choose the JBL PrX One or the RCF J8 mix.
@opaz.
@opaz. Жыл бұрын
I have not listened to the J8. I would choose the JBL as I already have two of them

Can you compare prx with other similar products? Bose L32 or compare only the sub unit with bose sub1? Did you notice how quickly the limiter start to clip?
@DavidB_AudioTech
@DavidB_AudioTech 2 жыл бұрын
I have Bose L1pro16 ans PRX one and yes the PRX clip very quickly , I have 12-15 DB less in volume at 8 feet with the PRX ONE measured with a UMIK-1 measurement microphone if I configure the 2 speakers at the limiter

@@lucabertolaso2167 Yes it is another problem of the PRX ONE. With the Bose, simply remove the plastic extension to correct the problem if you listen to movies on the couch or if the speaker is too high vs the audience.

@@DavidB_AudioTech i don't own either one but at the GC side by side prx one and bose pro 16 the prx one was way louder than the boses i did like the bass on the boses better sounds tighter

@@davetube2ful more details are needed on the configuration of the tests. I've had both here for 5 months and have never been able to get the power of the Bose l1pro16 without the PRX one limiter constantly turning on. whether it's with bluetooth or with a Denon TRS console, the prx limiter is too sensitive and the 12 woofer is not as loud as the 10x18 of the L1pro16. however the 12 inch of the PRX is dry so recommended more for a singer but for music, the 10x18 is rounder. if you're used to very sharp flutes, yes the PRX ONE is louder, Bose has always been less aggressive on that. at full volume, you only hear that on the PRX vs the L1 which remains much more equal

Jbl prx one vs db tecnologies es 1203? In outdors which subwoofer is better? In general, which do you advise to buy?

Either one will work. Maybe consider how much you want to spend and how portable you need it to be One has poles, wires and is heavy. The other is totally wireless, easier to setup and much more portable So much to consider

I just got my transporter bags but i didnt got any cases for my columns. And it wasnt anything inside the bass-bags eather. Maybe they have stopped with that or maybe they have better bags following the PRX ONEs from the beggining cause my columnbags that followed the PRX doesnt look like yours.

Thanks for the reply.. I’m a performer, acoustic guitar and vocals, and I’ve been using the Bose model 2 system for a while now, but I feel like this system is a bit more compact and would be an improvement sonically from what you’ve described, putting it up against the new Bose systems. The one thing that’s holding me back is that bose seem to be the only company, the angle, their speakers to get out 180° coverage which negates the need for separate monitoring too. Would you say that with this system you still get coverage to the sides? Thanks!
@opaz.
@opaz. 4 ай бұрын
As a dj I've always use two systems (always need to have live running backup although I have never had any failures). Two identical systems also look aesthetically correct for my setup. I've always said to others, sound reflects off walls/ceilings/surfaces in a venue therefore vast multi system setups are not necessary. The right song or the energy of a dj or performance are primary and that is what works. Excessive output or no energy from a performance or the wrong song, doesn't. If you require 180° coverage for monitoring, it's best stick to what provides you with that

Joe, I never use apps. I connect one prx to my left channel controller out and the other to the right channel out. I guess my controller is acting as my mixer for the two and I eq all on my controller or in each individual unit. I use the prx for dj purposes Maybe somebody else can help can help in the meantime. When I get some more free time, I'll take a closer look into this

Edited version. PROBLEM with your video!. Your are NOT setting the JBL provided bag correctly. Do a research of who sell those bags, look into their site pictures and see how it goes. You love to give guidance but refuse to read manual's before provide guidance. Here is the explanation of how to use the bags. The column bag have two loops "You call it lugs?" those loops are there for a reason. Velcro straps on the speaker bag need to go thru the loops. Concept is that when you pull the speaker using the PROVIDED handle on top of the column bag....it will pull the speaker evenly because the TWO velcro straps (right and Left) are going thru the "once again" two loops sewed on the speaker bag. MORE PROBLEMS, is your idea to attach that weird belt with plastic hooks to the JBL Column Bag loops. YOUR IDEA is great! but won't work. That plastic hooks on your provided weird belt it is NOT rated to pull the aprox 50 LB of the JBL..therefore cheap plastic hook will break and here you go that $1,599.00 speaker falling to the ground. I do expect you to do another video with a clarification. If you can't do another video...it will tell me that "you can't handle the truth". I want to thank's all viewers that support JBL's product including all staff , employees and families behind that company in the USA. Last thing we want is bad guidance and people don't buy JBL. Here in the USA! we don't waste time talking about weakness or failures of speakers in your area..by the way "I do love turbosound IQ series".No need to reply" this is a one way communication.
