Nah the cyclone won't get nerf after it had so many buffs to become viable. They'll let everyone think the starfall is weak and sell at a loss before giving them a buff, just like they did with the stillwind

the crosshair issue is because your view is above the guns, so if you look slightly above something, the guns would have shoot through that thing to shoot what you are looking at. It's not aim assist, its just how the camera works. Gromek999 has a video explaining it here at 4:10: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bteGiLhmkrrdoYk.html If you place a scope that changes your viewpoint next to the guns, you can see that it won't happen anymore.

Its not aim assist, its common sense. It's just how a game works you play a 3rd person shooter and bullets doesn't come out of your view, they come out of the actual guns, so when playing this game you have to use your brain...

Yeah, just put the neutrino between the weapons at their center of (vertical) rotation. That's what I do with my astras.

There is aim assist and it's set to standard in setting under controller settings. You can turn it off

The starfalls wont deal as much damage on the meter when shooting it directly. It's the perk on them that make them shine, I feel like the harpy cab is the best option for them. Also, shooting moving targets while you move yourself makes you automatically move the crosshairs more which in turn activates the perk since the shots are gonna spread more. That being said, the cyclones are stronger with its direct shots in ground battles. The starfalls are designed for ground/air battles and they absolutely slam on the large maps. Just like JB points out! 1on1 versus cyclones you'd loose most of the times with the starfalls. They are both good in their own way! Cool vid JB! Keep'em coming :)

7:43 thats because it makes the guns aim where your camera is aiming and your guns are lower than your camera, its impossible to turns this off because its just the matter of perspective its not auto aim

Thats part of it but the snap part is beacuse aim assist is set to standard as default. It's in settings under Controller Settings. You can turn it off

8:00 Hi JB, so basically the camera has a laser it points towards the middle of the screen(crosshair), and it then casts something called a "Raycast" that is an invisible laser, from the gun to the crosshair. Because of this, when the guns are mounted further down than the camera, your guns will still aim towards desired location, but there is an obstacle . In short it means that you are looking at the correct place, but because you are looking at the background, the gun will aim towards the background. There is no way for us players to "fix this" as it's in the programming of the game. Please keep making videoes I love you man!

I would love to use Starfall on a helicopter, because it could potentially help with two common builds I've kept running into, lock-on missile builds which are hard to dodge and make you topple around, and tackler builds that get in as close as possible and deploy a bunch of machinegun drones while they fly around chaotically. Starfall should be able to take out entire clusters of drones no problem.

Great video as always sir! My favorite part of the Starfall is that I am getting one tonight from the battle pass, haha. Glad you showed me what it's role is. It's my first legendary weapon. Also loved your showcase of the Impulse, I took a pair into a 6k raid, and like usual there were a couple guys at 30k damage to everyone else's 12-15. Only difference this time, I was one of the 30k, almost 1st in damage, the other guy had me by 2k.

7:48 oh boy i remember back in the day when sethioz was bitching about this and he thought it was cheats, there is a gromek video explaining it, its basically that the crosshair behaves in a 3d space but on a 2d screen, so it "snaps" to the target when the barrels of projectile guns would collide with enemy part

Great video and nice comparison JB, the starfall work's better if you wiggle the crosshairs over the target, but the starfall seems to have a faster fire rate, and faster projectile speed, unless you fuse cyclone for projectile speed and have jay co driver

If you are able to place the weapons farther apart it tends to prevent the two crosshairs in my experience. Try it.

It's not an aim assist, the crosshair is based off the barrel trajectory, not the players camera angle meaning the crosshair will always be where the bullet will hit (unless there is drop or wind etc). All 3rd person games have this unless they base aiming off the camera rather than the weapon in which either you hit something you didn't mean to because it was in the way or the shot just hits no matter if something was in the way or not..

starfall also has good HP without it being insanely big. The perk would destroy cyclones since they are massive and usually on top with little protection. And I wish the front cyclone armor plates weren't just for show and gave either more hp, a shield or damage reduction. And btw i use my 2 cyclones with a nova cab and fused barrier shield. They still fall off ridiculously quick.

the starfalls are proxy fuse. they blow up when near any destructibe part.

It's actually a timed fuse that's triggered once you reach a certain distance. This is why direct hits will not explode but they will if it scales the length of the build for some time.

8:02 there is no auto aim, just use a scope at the same height as your weapons! cause with your normal camera you look *above* things (look at the black crosshair!), while your projectile line is at a lower height and thus has to go *through* things (diagonal weapon crosshair) to meet with your focus. edit: this example is even more special, cause it is about the guns being spread horizontally. At 7:50 you actually aim at the damage meter with black camera crosshair, but your weapons are not centered and so they cant shoot through the narrow gap. Then at 7:53 you are far enough away to shoot through it at the damage meter in the back ;)

Both have they're perks....if you dont get wright on target....starfall does bonus damage.....the cyclones might do more damage on the garage damage target... but you need to hit direct on the target......wont be able to say which one is better.....both have there playstyle and "range".....perhaps side-mounted cyclones will do good in helicopter battle...but not sure!....awesome vid JB!...thanks for sharing and keep it up!!

The way I see it: Starfall - usable in PVP and great in Heli mode Cyclone - great in PVP and usable in Heli mode I'd say they're both quite balanced.

That “aim assist” thing that you mentioned in your vídeo Is because of the angle, the crossair aim for the farthest thing in his trajectory so when you get clos to something that something actually block the path of the crossair. Also please do a Apache helicopter 🚁

The weird snapon action, is caused by the point of view lying above and beyond, that makes the view snap if u move the point of view up and down. On Gromek's channel there is avideo where he explained it. Worth viewing.

yup i came to same conclusion strafalls atm are just losing in every aspect copared to cyclones plus cyclone using only 5 energy so unless they will at least make that starfall have the perk active all the time so that even when you shooting directly at target bullet explode the gun will be another dust collector in storage

QUERY:I allways thought that explosion radius +20% on harpy was pertaining to suicide explosion of the cabin not a buff that affects weapons,somebody please clarify?

It increases the explosion radius of shooting projectiles by 20%. It's not about the cabin explosion. 😉

Cyclones are only good fused and with light legs. Just a fact. I wish i had 2 arbiter mg's tbh. Cyclone is overrated and over hyped. Such a big hit box. Hammerfalls destroy em especially anyone with a daze. Now i only got 2 cyclones because it looked cool. It has decent damage but not accurate if moving and the perk does stop shooting faster eventually which I initially thought it wouldn't. Has range i guess. Astraus or how ever tf its spelled tends to win for example heck even mediums sometimes. Kaiju dont get me started lol. Can lose one or both if hit by 1 kaiju blast. And omamori you can use with cyclones like the gun placement in the very first seconds we see but its extremely wonky and looks bad I would have sold mine honestly but any other options are more expensive.

I checked this setting again last night. you have 3 options. Off, Standard and moderate. I tried all three modes and it always moves the cross hair down to the enemy vehicle. Tonight I am going to try and see if it affects the distance but iits very annoying. If the off option does not turn it off I will be opening a bug report. yesterday I was watching a team mate being a champ and take on the whole enemy team. I got sniped across the map. I was running tripple helios, I lost 2 helios in the first shot then lost the third. total time was 10 secs... Then I watch this guy with 2 hurricanes and he had the hurricanes on opposite sides of his build, and he lost them at the same time from scorp shot. I am seeing this wierd game plays lately where the enemy team is seemingly indestructable. I shot a guys retchers whole match with the notungs and they never came off. and my ping was 33ms, and graphically I could see the bullet hits on the retchers but nothing happened. So I was happy of course thought the retchers got a buff, swapped to my retcher build, and I got degunned so quickly it was disgusting. So guns do not work with aim assist. Retcher, tresher, akari, yongwang, avalanche, yokai, basically all trajectory weapons suffer because your reticle moves down to the enemy but you need to hit above or below them. Straight shooting weapons rip. because the never miss.

Stargell might be better when it comes to maintaining a constant fire rate unlike cyclones which will fire very slow at the beginning few seconds

Stillwinds are still supreme cause of even higher damage than these two. Paired with the accuracy they have, and a player that knows how to aim well, they can be deadly.

Моя лучшая сборка на гарпии с 3 смерчами (у вас это циклон) . 2700+дпс по сфере. Далеко не имба конечно, но кусается очень больно. 😂 Отлично подходит для загралительного огня: если враги поехали в проход - начинаешь заливать его свинцом, и им уже не охота туда ехать. 😅 Ну и снимать быстро броню тоже хорошо.

why compare them when you can COMBINE THEM FOR ENDLESS HIGH DAMAGE SHOOTING!!? AUTO CANNONS ARE SO COOL this combo can also be achieved by the AC72 Whirlwind and AC64 Joule it can be achieved with the AC50 storm and tempest as wellprovided that you use a shiver and rn seal i recommend using them for the other combos as well it really helps 👍

I feel like the Starfall was designed to be played with three. The cyclone is nerved without proper modules to make it powerful but you can only run two effectively for the cyclones but the Starfall seems like it would be a good candidate for 3x weapon load out

Triple cyclone with a single seal is a very effective setup actually, and completely dwarfs the dps of 2 starfalls. Starfalls at best fit in between 2 and 3 cyclone setups but if you don't trigger the perk a lot a double cyclone is similar damage with 2 less energy.

That weapon is too OP period. just aiming in the direction of your target and it auto hits. The minor snapping issue is a small problem when all you have to do is keep range.

They really aren’t, I encountered quite a few in the Thursday CW session and my triple stilly got em every time. Star falls are cool and fun, but definitely far from OP. Unless you’re a hover and they fire under you to frame you.

For the comparison, please keep in mind everyone, that the starfall perk is really useful for hitting many things at the same time. Ofc Cyclones will destroy a single target faster.

Having to purposefully shoot above a target to get full damage makes them useless against a variety of builds and deletes your ability to target weak points. The starfalls are only useful to shoot down choppers, besides that theyre complete trash outperformed by anything else.

Even destroying aircraft, takes So SOOO LONG cus they are So Damn weak ! 😖 . . . Ive also noticed they are only accurate if you stay completely still . Any movement causes them to become so inaccurate at range your lucky to get any hits on the target 🤷‍♂️ . . . So i agree, Starfalls are complete trash and need a big buff to become usefull

@@mnu_tenobaal Yeah i dont know if youve ever played this before but cyclones are autocannons and have the same range and accuracy as starfalls with 50% more damage. So no, starfalls are worthelss at range compared to cyclone damage.

Lol I did say that but even then Starfall is worth it still due to Arc and Fire Rate ill grab them and Cyclones im just greedy and want everything 🤣 if im honest i feel the Starfall dont need a nerf... They need a buff and a tweak to make them work how they should do... I feel they aint doing what theyre supposed to

I am MASSIVELY disappointed with the starfall ! . Even with its explosion perk, It feels so weak compared to the cyclone . . . But i payed 12k for 2 of em 🤦‍♂️ . Looks like il have to wait for a buff to use them or sell them 🤦‍♂️ . . . . Cyclones are WAY better 👍

Same issue as the plasma missiles - try to miss close and it snaps you on target. Whole point of weapon is screwed up

That "weapon drop" is aim assistance, and you can turn it off in the options menu. It usually has no effect until you're reticle is within a 1 pin of a hit box, then it snaps you towards it. If your already aimed at a hit box, it just shuts off and does nothing. It's also stronger on console, I think it's 2 pins there.

This is incorrect. The aim problem is from camera angle vs gun angle or line of sight. There is a post in these comments linking a video that explains how it works. It's a third person view issue.

@tthakshmm3349 No, that's it's own thing to do with vectors and objects. He (JB) is talking about the snapping of the crosshairs to the enemy and how it's hard to get the perk of the Starfall because of it. Both problems exist. The vector issue is why sometimes your single crosshair will sometimes split into several due to different weapon trajectories registering different objects in their path. You can clear it that issue up a bit as well by turning aim assist off. Because aim assistance pulls toward the nearest hit box, it can also make the trajectory thing worse by pulling to different hitboxes that are nearer to the different trajectories of each weapon.

The cyclones are OP. People seal club like crazy with them on PS5. Crossout can truly be frustrating game. I'll be out there trying to use quasars, medians, Executioner, or other skill based weapons, when out of nowhere I'm covered in kapcans, surrounded by mines, being blasted by grem gobs, while I'm being burned and shot by drones, and I die instantly

There are cpl of reasons why starfall will never be popular,first one is you actualy need skill for using that weapon(while XO playerbase loves autoaim weapons and brainless W weapons)second you cant mix starfall with other autacannons becouse of its perk,third there are less and less whales in XO who buyn everything what devs serves...for me starfall is good balanced weapon but i think somehow devs fail with this weapon becouse its not theyr practice to put balanced weapons in game,just cant believe devs and theyr bosses are so brainwashed i mean they have so good and unique game and dont know how to use it and earn money in normal way while playerbase is growing instead they are doing oposite,also JB they do impact on you,for me you are good CC but you have 20k subs,if devs and theyr bosses doing theyr job this game wont be in dead water for so long and you have 500k subs atleast becouse you deserve it...bruh i gone to far😂😂😂😂
