I still have my highly modified RC10GT that I bought way back in 1996. I dropped an O.S. 18 CV-R in it back in 2008 and ran it for a couple of years that way until I put it away in 2011 due to lack of time to run and maintain it. With 2020 being the way it has I recently pulled it out with my other cars and trucks, gave them a good once over and swapped all the old FM radio and receivers out for new 2.4ghz and have been ripping them around. All of them including the RC10GT still run great. I forgot how much I loved ripping nitros. Now that I got the fever again, I am sad to see how much the electrics and RTR’s have dominated the market. Building a kit, tuning a nitro engine, and adjusting clutches and diffs is what makes the RC hobby so satisfying IMHO. There is something sterile about electrics that no matter the speeds, is just lifeless to me.

I wish this class will make a come back.... I raced this class back in 1993. I had that same box.

1/10 gas truck is what got me into the hobby as a basher, and reading about the battles between Adam Drake and Jared Tebo is what convinced me to get into racing. I don't have my first truck anymore, but I just built an Ignite converted TLR 22NT and plan to rip around our local track at 318 RC Raceway with it. The new racers today will never know these trucks existed and therefore can't get popular unless you run 'em!

would love an RC10T Re-Release! this bodystyle is what i remember stumbling into as a small kid and what got me into my first RC, wich was a Nikko Buggy, nobody could avord an RC10 buggy/truck back then, especialy in Europe lol.

Man this takes me back. My first REAL RC Car was the RC10GT I saved for the kit with my first job when i was 14. That box on the left def brings back alot of good memories.

Great video. I still have my 3 Rc10gt black pan/ white plastics one which I recently 100% restored. I also still have a couple black plastics trucks that are next on my restoration list. JConceps should release the black tub chassis like they did the nose plate.

Love the gaz truck class , I still own an Losi NXT graphite plus . after that they came with the Adam drake versions of this these trucks . Love em I still own an OS 0.15 CV-R and OS .12 CV-R brand new in box Jason if your interested (it was supposed to be my second engine after my OS .15 CV would die but I never ran the truck long enough to kill my engine )

Awesome Video Jason, Brings back so many memories. I started RC back in 1991 with the electric Losi JRXT. My first Nitro truck was the Traxxas Nitro Hawk. That truck kicked butt when setup correctly. It was competitive against the RC10T conversions that were popular. When associated released the long awaited RC10GT, I was lucky enough to purchase the truck in early 1994 (included both black and white parts), which i still have. I love that truck so much that i currently have 5 of them. Black tub and the longer blue chassis version and one all white parts version. Jason, you should check out the RC10DS nitro. Its identical to the RC10GT platform but setup with short suspension arms, short shocks, and front/rear stabilizer bars. Just be aware...you may fall in love with the dual sport due to it being so similar to the GT that you may go nuts (as i have) collecting them. Just remember...i warned you. man i REALLY miss the hobby shops of the 90s. it was SO different. to bad this hobby is so dead and im so broke. if those 2 were flipped around i would open a "vintage" rc hobby shop. all old stuff, only. to bad you cant parts arent made for them any more.

Duratrax had their conversion as well. Technically the newer generation arms came from the later model T truck, which was before the t2 because the t2 came out in 95.

The RC10GT nitro was my first real RC car, the first kit I ever built.

Awesome!!! This brings back memories. That VCR tape with Cliff lett needs to be uploaded to YT!! I remember when I first got my GT, I flipped when I saw half the chassis tub missing for the pipe. Pro line bow ties, and MIP CVDs kicked ass on the GT. I was club racing a GT and an electric T2 in the mid 90s.... fond memories.

We're trying to bring stadium trucks back at my local track. Most everyone still has an electric one. SCT kind of killed it off, and it's a bummer. The STs were super fun and easy to drive. I just got into racing, but had a xxxnt when I was a kid. I've pretty much decided I'm buying a 22T for my son, and I'll likely get one as well. Make Stadium Trucks great agan!

Thanks for the video. I always wanted to get one of these when I was a kid in the 90's. Before I knew it I was playing with 1:1 cars and HS girls. Graduated in 94 and joined the army. Started a family and forgot all about my rc stuff. Got back into RC in 2008 with a sc10 rtr. Now that I'm almost 50 I still want to get a GT truck going. Started collecting parts and cars but like you said really nowhere to run it. How about a turf track?

I had a RC10GT. I think I got it around 2000era. Fun truck but hard to start some times.

Smaller tracks = less money to spend, also more tracks can be made. Those trucks are more affordable than 1/8, mean more people will have the opportunity to participate on those races. I love ST, hope soon all the current generation can be part of this experience, including us!.

I just picked up a RC10GT in AMAZING condition for $30. It came with all the original paperwork, manual & setup sheet. It has Futuba electronics installed and a REX engine. It is a tub chassis but it's bare, polished aluminum. It also has aluminum rear hubs and shock mounts. I think it was a kit version? Do you have any idea what year/gen it is? Thank you!

This is such a awesome video, I actually still have the first generation RC10GT, with a Thunder tiger .15 and MIP stinger exhaust system and loaded with aftermarket aluminum parts including the transmission case for the stealth transmission. I can't bring myself to sell such a great truck. I still have my Team Associated MGT, both still run. Like them way better then my Xmaxx lol. I regret selling all my race vehicles, Losi, Kyosho's etc. Great seeing these vehicles get some love and glory!

I started working on restoring an RC10gt about 2 years ago. You have to first find the parts. The white parts are almost impossible to get. You can find most of the black parts. The black chassis is very hard to find but the blue chassis is much easier to find. Also it is very hard to find a new OS Max .12 engine that is pull start. You can find a body or a reproduction body and you can find decals or reproduction decals. The original tires are also hard to find.

Modern RC racers seem to be unable to drive a nitro 2WD racer; too much power for you to handle? Let me show you how with my slide carb Paris modified Novarossi .12 XXXNT race ready stadium truck, MY hard pack backyard track!

I myself an rebuilding an RC10Gt with the blue pan chassis. The only problem I’ve had so far is knowing which body to get for it so if anybody could tell me which one, that’d be appreciated.

I race 1/8 scale in Georgia and the tracks are just too big. It’s hard to see your car half of the time. The best time I had in RC was racing 1/10 backyard tracks.

how do i get parts? I got mine out and took to the local track and schooled all the new 4wd trucks and even 1/8 buggies. guys could not believe my old dinosaur. but after 30yrs of use I'm in dire need of maintenance parts.

I ran one last night at ST Louis dirtburners. Had to roll over every jump but one. Still fun but it will never return with current tracks.
