Saw him last night; the drummer had only the snare and bass drum and a couple cymbals, and sounded like four people drumming. JD was incredible of course.

With a rhythm section like that, improvisation comes naturally...Brilliant.

Opened for Allman Betts at the Cabot in Beverly, MA. Two dudes I never heard of walk out and I'm wondering what's going on. Well, some damn righteous guitar and drums going on that shook the house to its foundation!

Saw them in Chicago a few years ago at House of Blues when they "opened" for Ace Frehley, and they were absolutely the best opening band I've ever seen at any concert in my entire life. They laid waste to the place and owned the night.

Wow, I was blown away by Jeff twenty years ago when I saw him as a teenage prodigy blowing the doors off a place in the Phoenix area. I knew then he was a rising star but after seeing this now I'm even more impressed with this new musical zone he's created! Hats off to you man - the universe is the limit for you!

Dayum! What a sound and a lesson. When I find those out there sounds during my little Saturday night sonic experiments don't just say that was cool and forget about it no, lean into it. So much to say. I guess I will let it out in 2 - 10 sentence burst over the next year or so on JD's channel. Just awesome.

Jeez. Another blues musician who thinks the point of music is to try and impress with how many weird and new sounds they can generate from their guitar. I didn't make it past the first 4 minutes. Was looking at it to maybe buy tickets to an upcoming concert....PASS!

I much prefer his Les Paul into a Marshall days but some of the new stuff is good. You just need to adjust your expectations.

@@DiegoStyler5 Everybody likes AC/DC because they rule, but Doctor Dox's point is spot on. JD Simo is truly something special. He's one of my two favorite living guitar players alongside Marcus King, an absolutely world-class talent. I recorded this Nashville session with him a few months ago. I saw him a few weeks ago at Mercury Lounge in NYC, and he had noticeably progressed even further in the four months since Nashville. His playing keeps getting better every time we cross paths, I remain excited to witness his development at every opportunity.
