What's particularly impressive to me is, she was moved to tears, yet solidered on singing, and while she had to improvise her song around that of the audience, it still sounded great. She could have just let them get on with it and listened in awed silence, but responded in kind. You just know that if the meter of the lyrics allowed her to sing "Je vous aime", she probably would have done it. She even finished strong, even if she stuttered on the finish line (which made it all the more moving).

at a time where the paparazzi in the french speaking world were hunting her down by flaming for literally nothing but clueless opinions on, again, nothing, she had no idea how much her work and her whole being as an artist meant to other people. it hink this is one of the moments she got to realise this, especially, because they are not singing: i love you, which is the translation, they are singing WE love you.

One thing I just feel the need to point out, is that in all her videos she leaves herself exposed in her body language. She never has her arms crossed in front of her or in any way tries to "protect" herself. She leaves herself vulnerable to deliver every song honest and raw. And in this video she does the same thing. But how easy it would have been and also how forgivable it would have been for her to feel so overwhelmed that she might put her head down to hide her face or perhaps cross her arms in front of her to deal with the experience of this whole crowd comforting her because they are aware of such personal and private struggles. But she doesn't. She just stands there, exposed, raw, honest, and allows herself to both receive the intention of the audience and to feel the joy and sadness of the moment without censoring herself or hiding her feelings in any way. It's such a beautiful and incredibly brave thing to do.

The first look of surprise comes from someone in the audiance that asks her not to sing : "Ne chante pas Lara !" (Don't sing Lara !) Then a few people start singing but she doesn't really get it yet, then her pianist starts, and the whole crowd comes along. That is when she really is taken aback and says "Là, vous m'avez pris de court" (You caught me of guard) This moment, I believe, is any singers dream : the whole crowd that came to see you knows you song by heart and sings it on pitch with all their heart to tell you how much they love you. If I was a singer, I would dream to live such a magic moment with my fans, that is for sure ! Very emotional and well deserved for this incredible live performer so underrated in english speaking countries...

What an interpreter. We could see in the first part that Igor Krutoy is the pianist. Lara Fabian has worked with Igor Krutoy for several years. She and Igor Krutoy worked together on MADEMOISELLE HYDE a masterpiece and Lara Fabian also wrote the lyrics for Dimash's song YOUR LOVE. There is also a special moment of Lara Fabian and Igor Krutoy singing LES FEUILLES MORTES together. Very beautiful moment. Thank you from Montreal.

She had in that time very hard and serious problems in her life, so the crowd only demonstrated their love for her "on t'aime" (we love you) their cry for her demonstrating their support (Paris 2001). The song "Je suis malade" is very impressive too... as well as Love by grace, Broken vow, I will love again, Si tu m'aimes, Caruso, Quedate, Papillon, Growing wings, Camouflage... And yes, here in Europe we usually sing like this with our idols, bands and good singers... how could we not to? (Before DQ, only Lara sang "Love of tired swans", "Adagio" and "Mademoiselle Hyde"... DQ is a huge fan of her and so finally he realized he's dream singing with her "Ti amo cosi" at Igor Krutoy's 65th Birthday Ice Show)

How about a back to back...to back reaction? This is Lara singing the same song live in 1999 from the World's Music Award where she won an award for this song. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/irCcdpei1NWXoqM.html Lara was upset, understandably so, when the presenters of the award, had no idea who she was, mispronounced her name, and got the category of her song wrong! Lara goes out to sing this song, it almost seems combative as Lara pours her heart into the performance! These people in the audience may not, at the time, know who Lara Fabian is but they will know her by the end of this performance! Lara puts everything into this with a well deserved standing ovation!...check it out

You could say that's her first big hit, probably mid 80's the music video is nice too. but that video is from recent years maybe when she was doing Mademoiselle Zhivago in Russia with Dimash's composer/conductor/pianist Igor Krutoy ( well i consider the 2010's to be recent ) She has big shows scheduled in France this summer (or i guess autumn )

Hello, I must admit I'm really not convinced by the first performance. In all case, not as far as the start of the song is concerned cause I feel she really has difficulty to start the song. I feel her in an exercise, not really in lyrics. She performs it better in another concert. Here I feel something like a tv show or like in a gala performance where she just comes sing one song. It's a bit like bringing a player onto the pitch without he could be able to warm up before. That's what I feel anyway. The second part of the song with orchestration and strings helps her to do better, and we feel her more relaxed, more serene, in her element... For second performance, maybe a little thing anyway: I'd have just liked to hear what she had originally planned at 03.25 mn in the live video, as she gets up. We feel that she should normally follow the guitar with her voice, but that the emotion too powerful and the desire to let crowd sing was the strongest. For the rest, nothing to say, or only ...MAGIC! :)
