I would love to have more unique skill on the commanders in different nations, and more skills for the universal commander, so new players can enjoy more about this game and not to worry too much about the commanders that they don’t have.

Theres a huge amount of ships that could still be added to the game. The sky is the limit really. As for improvements in the game itself, I'd like to see the sea surface improved, and the scenery. Also implementing some kind of battle in darkness, using night vision/searchlights and whatever else they used in the early 20th century. Bring it on!

Individual commander builds per ship is what I want I.e. Scott with fire chance on Cleveland but Scott with range on Alaska. I know it’s just a change you can make before the battle but god damn I don’t remember to do it!!!

At 9:29 that red tracer volley looked a little screwed up. What kind of arc was that on the highest shell. That just shows the RNG fucking with you right as the shells get close.

Looking forward to the new AL commanders, I think the biggest gripe people have with commanders is the facts that when putting a commander on a ship you have to change your inspirations, be great to start with a clean state for a different ship

On the topic of customisation I want to see more camo stat variation, right now they all do the same thing. Same goes for maybe flags, the pc version has so much more when it comes to camos and flags, yet ours are so basic.

I see a few people wanting a 3rd inspiration for more variety but imo that will bring less variety because atm you have to choose either movement stealth or damage or a lesser mix of two of those, add a third inspiration and it means more is covered which equals less variety is still available.

On the commander options YES a 3 inspiration will for sure spice it up.I dont think the game will survive whitout a new play mode though.But the biggest issue is still DD.s and the wrong gameplay with focusing on damage insteed of there spotting and capping defending role.Battle ships that are to afraid of pushing because of the devstrike harvesting DD.s is why players new to the game will rage quit before getting to higher tier not just because of the commander system that is pretty much a pay to win but I understand your wording pay to play as it sounds better.keep it up.

It’s definitely a pay to win game and not pay to play. Many ships and commanders that are for purchase only give large enough advantages that it’s not pay to play cosmetics. Though a shiny ship or a advantageous commander won’t turn a potatoe into fries.

I would like to see more commander perks. Reduce the number of battles for commander inspiration. More ship perk flags. Reduce ship service fee.

The only thing I can say is that I lost so many resources cause I didn't know what a commander could do. I too went for Teslau and I think that I too regret it. Or going for Lenonier instead for Roux.

Hi Hipper, I like your ideas for further potential with commanders. I would like to see an a Naval Academy option where you can train a commander with specific perks to suit your play style. It could be similar to the Bureau which takes time and resources but ultimately you can invest in your perfect commander build.

I will look forward to your commander video. I agree there is so much more that could be done to this game to unlock some potential. The third inspiration is something I've thought about, they could put it into Arena or Ranked to check it out first. I would call your comments "constructive criticism", you have passion and appreciation for the game and your concerns are well thought out.

I think this game has a lot going for it aswell. Yes more ships and commanders cool. But thier does need to be more of something....maybe a module on battleships that can be activated to perform radar directed fire on ships you can't see say over tge horizon...this was common for night fire and those really long ranges were you can't see some ships....more maps...maybe some classic real world oceans...where somehow bombardment of shorelines is part of taking a cap?...meaning trying to take some caps draws shoreline fire you have to take out to secure a cap...this list goes on...

I’m a big fan of customization, so you should know what I would say about commanders……but I would like to say wish we had more customization on ships like adjusting AA Modules/manual controls on/off, being able to use more/add more consumables on ships. There’s ways to change controller layout for instance holding down D-pad will re-map A B X Y buttons to consumables, for examples would be like dragon age if you ever played it. There were like 6 to 8 abilities………

I like that they attempt to shake up the commander builds with new additions. It's just they aren't very balanced in the sense there are certain commanders so good it would be silly to pass them up if this is a favorite game for you and other commanders that are basically worthless without much in between. Certain commanders like Hide and Nelson allow you to get accuracy and heals and Delightful makes for a super sniper accuracy build on cruisers. Then you have certain commanders with skills like "fast smoke recharge" or "reduced ramming damage" that no one will realistically ever use.

I think having commander skills with a bit more stats would be interesting. Instead of seeing a Edinburgh, you have to make assumptions based on what his commander could be. Radar, smoke, agile, penetration? A third inspiration could do it. Certainly break up the Bey/Swirzky mix.

I would like to see being able to use the same commanders with different inspirations. It would allow you to use for example a. Cruiser commander for cruisers but if I wanted him for a destroyer I could attach different inspirations and have that commander used with destroyer inspirations. A or B build and not have to spend the resources to change out inspirations going back and forth.

Personally I would love to see a game mode/map filter system for standard matchmaking and a permanent competitive mode. I think we should have the ability to choose to play against carriers or not by having carrier specific game modes instead of the current playlist system they could have standard player battles, the permanent competitive mode as well as a Temporary game mode playlist and then a quick play playlists (which would basically serve the function of the existing standard randoms) Now with the new standard you would have the option to filter the game modes and maps to your preferences - don’t like cap the base? Remove it from the filter. Tired of shards B spawn? Untick it’s box, problem solved. Yes match making could take longer but quick play, competitive and TGM playlists wouldn’t have filters so match making would be quicker for those presumably. - I know it’s not as simple this obviously but I think this idea has potential - Carrier specific game modes would help both surface ships and carriers as both will be expecting AA focused builds and carriers to be present. In my opinion carriers should probably be limited to cap the base and a VIP type game mode or at least another carrier influenced mode should be added to accommodate carriers - I do have a general idea of how a VIP mode with carriers could work but I doubt it’s perfect. I also think this is not the only thing to be done when talking about the implementation and balancing of carriers we need better counter measures or make the existing ones more efficient maybe the fighters should prioritise the actual attacking planes if an attack run is in the process (still with varying success) Finally I would like to mention the ship upgrade system, it’s very limiting customisation wise especially for free-to-players who don’t have dabloons to spare on swapping ship upgrades out or being forced to sell their current upgrade to swap out to a different upgrade. An example; British cruisers are good agile cruiser’s but they are also really stealthy and good dd hunters when specked that way I like to swap between the two play styles often but to do so especially with Fiji and Surrey it can be costly even if I have the upgrades stockpiled and it’s just a matter of swapping them out it’s going to cost me 25 dabloons every time I want to swap from the concealment mod to steering gears. Yes 25 dabloons isn’t a lot and neither is 100 thousand silver but for those who don’t have any gold or have to rely on the free stuff from campaigns it is a lot and is detrimental to the experience of playing a game that relies on making many small adjustments to make certain builds flourish. Maybe instead they could simply add an instal fee of X amount of silver or steel or something instead. Sorry for the length of this comment it’s easy to get carried away when talking about something we are all passionate about if you did make it to the end here’s your well deserved gold star ⭐️

I regularly get 200k average damage games when I snipe at long range in Jean Bart. However I regularly get my guns permanently blown off when I try to get close, therefore resulting in very little damage and basically throwing the ship away.

I think i speak for many people when i say that the Pay to play commanders and premium ships are annoying because like me, many others cannot afford or are unable to buy their favourite ships, for me i would really like the Scharnhorst but i cannot afford to buy it, i think either the prices should be reduced OR, just a suggestion, maybe WG could give us a chance to buy a free premium ship for free every 6 months? Anyway that’s just a suggestion but it would be nice.

I think having a third inspiration is something that would add improved variety to commander builds. Also the ability to customise each commander on a per ship basis, or at least the inspirations on a per ship basis.

I may have an unpopular opinion, but I think DiRevel might be a stronger choice for the Italian BBs than a dispersion commander. From what I gather (mostly from PC wiki), they will be great for mobility, concealment, and midrange engagements. So like Guepratte on the French BBs or Kedrov on the Russians, I think the survivability/agility commander will be a strong choice. But…my guess is there will be a historical F2P dispersion commander for Italy in March when the whole line becomes researchable.

I don't have any issues with paid commanders as the nuance vs. the free ones is slight as best...as you state in the video there are alternatives in the free line and they definitely are not play to win...my frustration is when you recommend an optimal setup using Baltimore and/or Takao/Teslau and I can't buy them, especially AL Baltimore...with that being said I would like to see your take on the commander system...for my other ask, I would like you to apply the "agility" philosophy to other ships such as perhaps the Grober...something that you would never think of applying such a build to...I was on one night with you playing the Edinburgh and myself in a rental Grober running my high end Lutjens (Level 16.1)...while we got smoked, I could not believe how much of a difference the agility setup "worked"...she is a heavy girl but if you "try" to play her as a heavy cruiser you can actually have fun....with the sonar running I was able to push caps more than I otherwise would..if you understand the limitations, there are some ships like the regular Baltimore where you can run pure agility and be surprisingly effective. Overall thank you for introducing this still newb player (2k battles) to a different way of playing the game and making it fun..and grats again on the CC for you. big fan...aka xH0ss Delgad0x" on Xbox :)

I feel like countries need to be balanced with amount of captains. Japan is getting 3 more. I'm sure there are more captains for countries like France, Italy, and Russia.

I Don't mind what they put in the game , just more historic commanders would be nice as well.

Far too many pay to own commanders would be good if there was another way to get them instead of having to pay for them on top of paying for all your commander resources and paying for premium, as for commanders I'd rather when you assigned your commander to a ship it didn't have inspirations selected you did that after the commander was already there, because I don't want my light cruiser inspirations on my heavy cruisers but don't have a choice because I can't change them every time I pick a different ship

Adding another comment about commender, i agree with you about the 3rd inspiration, and as for the pay to play i don't mind it as much as I should, but i did put some money in the game in 3 years of play (something around 200€) but beside AL Nelson (wich is a full pay to win commender imo, true game changer for english BB) and in some ways AL Scharnhorst (but I had her for free) other than that what i mind in another hand is some skills locked in a pay wall (more range for BBs, Agile cruisers where all inspirations are locked etc...) this is bad And last but not least, not adding a mission for a free crate during collab is bad, yes there is one for AL3 but its a commender that won't interest everyone, some might agree, other not, but i would like to have the opportunity to have a chance to loot for free Littorio in a crate (wich is the only commender that i want, and need) much like Scharnhorst during wave 2

some nations have too many comanders for example: we dont need all the japanese commanders, theres a bunch of useless dd commanders and bb commanders

Honestly the best thing they could do is create an elite level for serious players. I would probably even pay reasonable subs for that.. When you play with serious players the game is tremendous. When you play with potatoes it's brutal. Despite having higher level commanders and improving my skills my win rate has actually gone backwards in the past six months because so many games are completely un-winnable with incredibly passive teams sitting in the back or piling on to a single flank and just staying there. At a more prosaic level, a third inspiration would be great. Do you know if Baltimore is coming back with the upcoming AL release? Fingers crossed.

Mmm I would like too see a 3rd inspiration slot and more commander perks to spice things up, I like the Azur Lane collaboration not all of these collaborations work but this one does imho, also would like to see more guises and the ability to name your ships, Cross div and clans are a must and it’s got too work smoothly, I could write a list pages long of ships I’d like in the game haha but I guess we all could do that. Weather, night fighting, and light effects would be welcome but it’s not a game changer for me, I would like to see better sea textures and more variety and a big thing for me make legendary, tier 8 and bring in early jets and rockets for carriers we have cruisers and ships built in the fifties in the game based around the Korean era . Ok just some muses from a salty old fart 😁👍

Sure. Jean Bart. The premium Richy. Best BB? Very debatable. One of the best? Yes, for sure. Easy to access? No, being a rare ship. There are other contenders to count in.
