He then gets kicked in the face. Is out for about 1:45:00 of the movie. Returns to blast a hole in the Damm. Then cries like a bitch on the plane. Then leaves the last frame of the movie out of focus as wolverine wears a Hawaii t shirt.

Heh. Yeah, I just realized there's a pretty noticeable height difference with Logan in the first X-Men movie compared to the rest of the franchise. Here, he's the same height as Jean and Scott, but in the sequels he's suddenly a head taller than everyone else, with the exceptions of Juggernaut and Colossus. Props for initially trying to be comics accurate I guess.

The fact that Logan by this point seems well aware of the extent of his healing factor but doesn't point out to anyone that Scott absolutely did not save his life is kind of sinister. He doesn't want people to know the full extent of his healing factor. He wants people to think they have a chance at killing him, so that anyone who wants to overplays their hand by trying to, and revealing they are an enemy, realising too late that they never stood a chance.

In all honesty I don’t think it’s that deep. I think it’s more that Wolverine has never been characterized as a boastful person, and by and large, he minds his own business. So the extent of his healing factor is nk one’s business really. And as a plus, he doesn’t clue in people who want his head, making fights slightly easier. What’s more, even though he’s pretty feral here, he’s still an honorable guy. And he knows Cyclops is a good man. He’s not wrong and strong.

The big question is that did she specifically deep dive his mind or was it her lack of refinement. It was due to lack of control over her ability, she was looking for something else... and he just made it clear what was in his mind. An interesting thought is that she'd likely ask him if she could deep dive his mind because he was so defensive earlier, she didn't ask.

@@Tesseract.2012Cartoon dialogue is irrelevant to the movies. Jean is somehow attracted to Logan, but prefers Scott in every iteration of the story. The only adaptation where Jean was written to prefer Logan, was the 00's films, because they wanted to make Wolverine the main character due to his popularity. Jean is not as attracted to Wolverine in any other adaptation.

@@reduande I'm gonna disagree that was the intent. I can maybe see how it can be interpreted that way, but the problem is they were actually together. He just stated "If I had to say that, she wouldn't be my girl," which is a great line to tell Logan that they ARE together and he doesn't think him a threat to his relationship. And then he turns around and goes back on it, which ruins that confidence and cockiness. It butchered the scene and made Scott seem weaker than he is.

Scott coming back to say "Stay away from my girl" kinda takes away from his statement of Jean being his girl, and does kind of imply that she's not. Hence my understanding of your thoughts on the FWB. I'm saying that was a bad choice in writing because they ARE together. And it wasn't supposed to imply a FWB relationship. The crappy writing just ended up leaving that effect-- hence the point of my entire comment. Also big disagree on the Rogue/Mistique thing. That's super out of left field for me. Never a hint of either relationship in the comic, not to mention Logan is actually like, 80. Rogue's connection to Logan is taking the place of Jubilee from the comics. And Jubilee and this version of Rogue are kids. Gross, dude.
