So well written back then. The scene and dialogue were utterly captivating. Fassbender was a superb fit for this role too.

Couldn't agree more, Fassbender truly portrayed the perfect young Magneto. The scene with him and Charles on the beach after the bullet hit his spine as well as the speech he was giving in Days of Future Past at the White House to his fellow mutants was pure cinematic mastery.

Even the subtle element that magnetos powers are relatively weak. The guy moving the gun, i felt it hinted at that. I may be wrong but i believe this is before his training with Xavier. Regardless he's supposed to be a slightly inferior mutant compared to old magneto. I felt that played well
@Phantom-ZER02 ай бұрын
@@NorthernTallow yeah he hadn't awakened his powers till Charles taught him to not rely on anger as his motivator. At this point he wasn't strong enough to even lift a boat. If you compare his strength from the beginning of the movie vs the end, it shows just how much Charles tutelage helped improve his hidden potential.

The weird thing about this scene is he just kills two dudes (not counting the bartender) who might have had information to give him. I'm sure he'd kill them anyway afterwards, but just killing them without learning if the guy on the wall still had the ship, where was it based, whether they were still in contact etc. makes no sense. For all he knew, they met the guy five years back and hadn't seen him since, or the ship was just some party they all attended.
@daviderickson86992 ай бұрын
I thought that too - you had two dead guys to show you're serious and one survivor incapacitated and terrified. It was very premature to finish him off before interrogating him. The name of a boat your prey once posed on for a picture is hardly as strong of a lead as what the pig farmer could tell you.
