Ms. Smart and Mr. Mantegna totally embraced their roles as the Grahams. What a gift they gave to our nation on this Memorial Day weekend. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Graham and Melanie for your strength and sacrifice and for sharing your story and those of your beloved, Jeff and Kevin. My condolences to this family. I thank you for your sons service and pray for your family for healing and strength. This story was told by one of my all time favorite actors-Joe Mantegna-but he's a better man. His support and respect for our military and their families isn't an act-it's genuine. Thank you both for telling these heroes story.

Jean and Joe were so good I was weeping , pretty much uncontrolably by the end, and when she wiped away that teas I was a goner! What a terrific couple these two young men had as parents! I am so grieved for this family!

OMG That tore my heart out. I can't imagine losing both sons. Jean and Joe did a wonderful job telling the story. God bless this family and all those who lost children. 🙏

I am so proud to be the daughter of a U.S. Army Officer! Daddy retired in August 1970 at Fort Monroe, VA. He & Mom are now at Arlington National Cemetery. Military Families are special…. We serve alongside our Patriotic Soldier(s) family members. WE ARE PROUD AMERICANS!!! May God bless the Graham Family…. 🇺🇸🕊️🇺🇸

This is a story many thousands of families, could and should speak out about for closure and help, not just personal but for others who have lost family and friends, it took me a brain hemorrhage and 50 years to finally speak up and it really makes a difference .

I’m from a military family, I’m Intelligence Specialist, my life partner was Anti-warfare, our oldest son was Nuke Machinist Mate 1st class and our middle son was a DCmen (Damage Control)

One son trying through his psychological adversity, & losing his private battle. The other son, not having to go, ( Sullivan Act), legally or by father's wishes, went to serve, do what his country believed was necessary to once again fight evil, & being killed while doing so. Family heartbreak beyond imagination, but their strength, as previously displayed by their sons, survived & thrived. America's finest they are.
