And Jean-Michel Jarre is one of the most pro-AI and pro-VR artists on the planet. He just had a presentation in Milan about how great AI will be and he even debated the people who asked about how harmful it can be.

Mine also! I fell in love with electronic music since I heard this track back then, in 90s. I love it so much that I'm preparing to make a bootleg of it. I know its going to be really hard beacuse I've already made bootleg of Magnetics Fields 2 and it was so complicated with the rythm and notes and sound etc. But such approach helps me discover JMJ music once again.

He was actually quite late on the scene, Tangerine dream, Klause Schulze, Vangelis and others came before him when it comes to Music specifically written for synthesizers based on the sounds they can produce, and before them it goes all the way back to the 50's where synth artists most notably Walter (now Wendy) Carlos and Tomita mainly covered known classical compositions and made them sound pretty crappy. It's not digital music either (no such thing really) digital is a technology, not a genre of music, and he still uses many analogue synthesizers. The first fully digitally recorded and mastered album was by space rock band Hawkwind around 1979 (Don't quote me on the year, but around then) and they were heavily guitar oriented, and may even still be around (they were just a few years ago last I checked).

i was like 9 when my father showed me this guy, that created in me a love for the electronic genre and to this day i listen to dubstep durm'n bass electro, techno rave, all kinds, just because of this guy.

@@rougegorge7542 This is my preferred version, i saw the concert on tv back in the 90's (not sure if it was broadcast on UK tv, or was a recorded version) and was blown away by the whole concert, i was saddened to find out that the Elka Synthex/Laser Harp malfunctioned on this night, but that never made it to the video, but the simulcast on French TV obviously picked it up

I like to listen to Revolutions with Jean Michel Jarre from his Original album, but my favourite is to listen to JMJ - Revolutions from his concert Paris La Defense :) Did you know about this sound, which sounds like cybal or something, not like that the drummer/percusion is playing, but that other sounds? If you have watched Jean Michel Jarre - Paris La Defense, when JMJ and his musicians are playing Revolutions from that concert you have noticed when these lasers is lightning, when these sound is played :) I have found out for some years ago, that this sound is coming from a Roland D-50 :) And JMJ friend Francis Rimbert have played that sound from his keyboard/synth from the concert in London 1988, when JMJ had his Destination Docklands concert that year :) The sound is named as Perc :) And I assume it is a percusion sound of some kind :)

That is a roland D-50 keyboard with the patch "SOLVOLYSIS" which is also used in the track The Emigrant. If your interested I have those D-50 patches in EXS24 SF2 and Kontakt format

Par moment ça rappelle le thème de Miami Vice par Jan Hammer… surtout certaines parties « mélodique » jouée par les cordes qui ressemblent note pour note à une partie de la musique de Miami Vice.

Roger Spacebucks There are two versions of the album, each containing a different version of the track "Revolutions". On the original release, the introduction to the tune is played on a Turkish flute, whereas the later reissue of the album uses an Arabian string orchestra for the introduction. This version also has a different vocal accompaniment, as sung by an Arabian vocalist. "Revolutions" contains reworked samples of an unpublished composition by Turk Kudsi Erguner, which Jarre had acquired from ethnologist Xavier Bellenger. Erguner took his case to court and won a modest indemnity. Jarre removed the Ney part from new releases of the record and from live performances.
