First time I've heard "dinner" pronounced "dunner", and I have lived in NC a few years. It did take me a while to realize a "PEE-can" is a tree nut, not something you need on a long bus trip.

Funny, most southerners I know here in North Florida say "Peh-KAHN", while some northern transplants I know down here say "Pee-can." I've lived here my whole live, raised by a country mom and a city dad, and always heard it the first way, not pee-can. My dad's side of the family is Greek from New Orleans, and they also say it "Peh-KAHN". Mom's side is from out in the country, and they also say it that way. Sounds like where you are in NC is the opposite. I guess it's not a northern/southern thing, just a thing. :)

This was hilarious and I only watched because of the title. I was born a "Hussey"- it's my maiden name and as I got older and learned the meaning I used to make a joke about it when I would meet people before they made fun of me - it worked!. I have no complaints because I had to learn at an early age not to take myself too seriously which is an important lesson.

2 years later there are 210. Seeing this comment reminds me of something I read the other day about why some people choose thumbs down. They said that by clicking thumbs down they can keep up with what video they have watched or have not watched. They hit thumbs down if they don't have time to watch it. The next time they run across that video the thumbs down tells them they haven't watched it yet. (I, myself just click on save. lol )

I just love your humor and your videos! I had two sons who pushed the line in the limit every chance they were given. You want to trust your children because you’ve taught them values, but there are people out there only two willing to tear down everything you’ve worked years to build up in your children and you have to stay on your toes and keep that left brain working. And you have to keep a sense of humor. I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to say or do a certain thing, but God put something else in my heart to say or do and I’m so thankful for those moments because I knew he knew better than I did and things turned out so much better God’s way❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thank you for bringing laughter into my home and sharing your wonderful stories Jeanne ♥️♥️

Ms. Jeanne, I have laughed with you for years. I was a trucker for 25 years, and had XM radio for many of those years. I'm also an Ordained Minister. I too have many stories I used in my sermons while an Assistant Pastor at the New Testament Church in Milton, Fl. I want to say, you could run for Miss America today, and have winning Chance. I couldn't say i have a favorite story of yours as they are all wonderful, but I can relate to many, that my wife of 40 years would agree. One in particular though, would have to be the story about Santa in the bathroom. My Mother in law had a motion sensor Santa in her front bathroom too. I think that was when I started reaching into a room to turn on the lights before entering. Hope to get to see you somewhere in 2018. Lord Bless.

My first "Jeanne Robertson" tapes in the earlier 80s was just a riot! About being tall.... some of you tall young women would now have an arsenal of 'come backs' like Jeanne! She told the story about when she was on a flight (she was already seated) where a man sat down by her. She goes on to tell how much she enjoyed his company. As the jet parked to let people deplane, the guy stood up waiting for his turn to single file out, he turned to see that Jeanne was now standing.... to his dismay of sorts he looked her up and down as he said "wow, you are really tall" to which Jeanne answered "I wasn't like this when I sat down"! I can recall a few other stories she told us but I want you all to enjoy your searching so you can laugh, giggle and say "I can relate to that".

Love your stories & the special "left brain" ones are my favorite. I was married once & I think it was to a left brain & I'm a right brain!
@elwoodblues9613
@elwoodblues9613 4 жыл бұрын
The trick is to see where your Left Brain has strengths that you are a little weak in, and then work together as a team using both of your strengths to get through life and make the marriage work. Instead of insisting that Left Brains are clueless and need to become Right Brained, and punishing Left Brain for being who God made him to be. (Can you tell that I'm a Left Brain [currently] married to a Right Brain?)
