I felt that i had sharp pain on my middle of chest and I drove myself to ER and found nothing on my ECG but I was told it could be something else so they sent me home at age 48

We need to do more research and narrow it down. Aside from the chest pain, thr majority of these symptoms are completely normal when one is just under the weather, slept in a bad position, or tired from a hard previous day.

I’m a little worried now lol. So today is Friday. And since last Sunday night I’ve been having shortness of breath. Sorta weird feeling on my chest. On Wednesday it kinda felt better in that aspect. But today I feel like i can catch a deep breath easier , just feels weird ? And i feel like a pain or soreness in my back, faint feeling on my left arm too. That’s what’s worrying me

Lincoln, with these signs you should contact your PCP to have them evaluated asap. The bottom line message in Dr. Burchenal's video is, do not ignore symptoms such as these.

Anxiety also causes a lot of similar symptoms though. I get panic attacks and the only difference are time of symptoms, no nausea , back and jaw pain. But still difficult to judge the difference though. Any ideas on when to take notice ? Thanks

I was going to post the same thing. I went to hospital this week with a "heart attack" but it was my first severe panic/anxiety attack. Heart attacks run in my family (a lot) and now knowing I'm having panic attacks, how do I know not to call an ambulance every time?

@@haydenm2397 they run in my family too, maybe we're both worried about it, and that's why we're anxious a lot.. Hope your feeling better. What symptoms did you have?

I have abnormal heart beat. Recently for the last 4 months, I have been extremely stressed out by my out of control teenage daughter. My chest pain increased, I have difficulty doing anything active without running out breath and increased chest pain. I am constantly sweating but at same time feels this cold numbing sensation trough my body especially on my face and around my lips. The bottom of my neck hurts constantly and it goes down to my right shoulder and causes headaches. I don’t feel myself lately, I feel like my heart is tired and my body has no more energy to go on.

Two nights ago i sat in the car next to my son, waiting for his friends to pick him up. I am 48, and started gymming recently. While sitting in the car, it suddenly felt like there is a very stiff band around my upper chest, a lot of pressure.. It felt almost like i breathed out all my air, and have only a small space to breath in. Also felt a confusing pressure in my head, it didnt take too long though. I told my Son i think my bra is on too tight, just to make sure he isnt worried. Am i just silly or am i in trouble?

Any time you are experiencing symptoms as you describe, it is always best to either seek medical attention from a local emergency department or your primary care provider. Chest pressure or pain coupled with shortness of breath should never be ignored.

I was told about 11 years ago by a Dr I need to get my heart checked and never have. Yes I'm very stubborn. But in the last couple of years I've been randomly getting chest pain that even wakes me up out of a deep sleep. Symptoms are rapid heart beat, chest pain that feels like my heart is in a cramp. It causes me to sit up, lay down stand up and I do theses over and over out of pain! Kind of like a fish out of water! Also get really hot and start sweating which last about 2-5 minutes then findly goes away. It usually happens about every couple of months but now it has happened twice in a week and the last one was worse than the rest. I'm 39 a male and in decent shape. It's now really starting to worry me. I've got a wife three kids and kind of need to be around for them! What should I do doc?

These symptoms need to be evaluated by your primary care provider or local emergency room as soon as possible. The symptoms you are experiencing could indeed be cardiac in origin and should be evaluated ASAP, even today if possible.

I went to Er and they said my heart is fine. Nornal size heart and blood work is good. Then I came home for a while. My left chest feel like pitching then it went away. Everytime I get up my heart beat is racing. I have to keep walking to calm down. My blood pressure is good. Last time was 120/70. I dont understand why my heart race a lot for like a week

Hello, If you are still experiencing symptoms as described, you should re-visit the emergency room or get an appointment with your PCP ASAP. If you have any symptoms as described in the video, calling 911 is appropriate and advised. Heart symptoms do not always show up in the ER, and returning if they persist is essential.
