Boat Fails and Big Spango at Warroora Station | EP29 YR02

Жыл бұрынPart 2 of our week at Elle's Beach on Warroora Station :)
Jed and Azza (Angus Expeditions) have a crack at getting the tinny out but pick the wrong tide and swell combo that almost ends in disaster! Thankfully it all turned out ok and the lesson was learnt to not try to launch at high tide so a late arvo, receding tide mission the following day is attempted and was definitely worth it when Jed scores a PB Spangled Emperor!
We trek out of Warroora after this and head back to Carnarvon to restock and prepare ourselves for one of our best weeks on the road so far at Quobba Station. We can't wait to show you guys the amazing time we had there in the coming weeks :)

Ripper fun Jed and Kel. Thought old mate was going to get squashed everytime you launched the boat hey! Loved the Donkey Spango! It was a belter. Beer batter - what are people on about - Pretty sure that is all they use in heaven! Great to see you living the dream. Stay safe have fun! 🎣🐴🐟

Cheers mate! Yeah gopro doesn't even give it justice how sketchy it was! Paid dividends in the end, gotta learn and keep advancing hey 🤜🤛. It was so good in beer batter too 😋

@@oldmate_adventures I was a surf boat instructor and we used to launch in the dark off a beach with shore dumpers to get the boats up for the Rotto swim safety run. That was sketchy LOL. Just don't have old mate holding the boat at the back near the motor - he needs to be on the side of the boat, away from the prop and on the side that the boat wont swing to in the surf. We used to have the crew out the front with a rope, but they were under water sometimes LOL. No one was hurt - all good 🍻👍😁 Beer batter for the win! 🤣🤣🍻🍻

Such an amazing place and fish. I always always always start the motor on the trailer before beach launching, just kill it as soon as it fires up 😅

I'm going to say it again, mate. Sky's fantastic and fishing was great apart from the first attempt, haha. 62cm awesome work. I've never been a big batter fan. I'm always a crumbed fan. I guess the batter goes further, and it's more filling. Lovely work once again, mate. Hope you succeed with those ants, Kel. I hate ants. 🍻 👌

Cheers mate! Ha yeah kooked the timing there, go pro doesn't do it justice how sketchy it was. Broke a pb in the end so the effort paid off. Do you do the flour/egg/panko combo? Yeah beer batter makes a small catch look massive! 😄

Mate I used just good old Herring I had frozen whole and took up with me. Works a treat. Though you can catch small butterfish up there that work just as good. Fresh is best every time 🙌
