Just purchased one of these. A few different options. Used of course but owned by a Chrysler rep. My back up camera does have the trajectory lines. I did learn a few things from this.

Thank you for an interesting commentary on the Cherokee Limited - very well done and easy to follow. A couple features not mentioned were the adjustable steering wheel (up and down- in and out) and reclining rear seats. Mention was not made of the LED daylight driving lights, LED turn indicators on the side mirrors, LED ambient lights for driver and passenger footwells.

I just purchased a 2016 sport 4x4 with the cold weather package, back up camera and XM satellite. It's only a 4 cyl but I really like it.

The “Sport” does not have a, 4WD low range mode, but it seems like the 9 speed has allowed 1st gear to be pretty low by itself. The Differential Brake Lock (DBL) system is what impressed me. It gives, even the Cherokee “Sport”, some impressive off-road capability. Probably way more capability than most people want to put their Family Truckser through. The capability is there, if you need it though.

I Mike, I found your review to be very thoughtful and clear. I'm waiting for my Limited to come in so enjoyed the tutorial about how the interior gadgets work! They seem to be very intuitive. I noticed that you didn't explain about the 3 lights in the front. I know what each one is for but perhaps others do not. Other than that, I don't think you left anything out. Great video!

Would you believe when we picked up our new Jeep Cherokee Limited the dealer in Sydney Australia was unable to supply an Owner's Manual and Log Book with it. No news yet as to when this will be available. We have just discovered that there is a button on the driver's side door which allows the side mirrors to be folded. This makes it so much easier when driving into and out of our garage which has a door opening of just 2410mm (7'10.875")

I just purchased the 2015 Cherokee Limited, however here in Australia we lack some of the features otherwise would be included in the US version. I.e There is no Uconnect support as yet and there is no heated wheel and vented seats options, lastly, we don't have the memorised seating position button at all....I wonder why? Otherwise I think it's a great vehicle, loving the looks and the riding comfort so far. I took it out to the Great Ocean Road and my Cherokee Limited performed sublimely!

It is only when you need to manually change gears. Like downshifting when going down a long steep hill to avoid using the brakes too much.

Great job but please when you mention a feature that is not standard and part of a package ie, the autoliftgate and the vented seats be sure to mention that. I am working a deal now for the exact save vehicle but in black, not sure if we need 4x4 or FWD/AWD

Consumer reports rates it poor for reliability but doesn’t say specifically what. I’ve been looking at them too but consumer reports makes me nervous

Most of the complaints I hear about in the 2014-2015 model Cherokee is from the software that controls the ZF 9 speed transmission. If the vehicle has been to the dealership for the update then that should no longer be a problem. ZF transmissions have a different feel when shifting and some people misinterpret that as a problem. Honda uses the same transmission in several of their newer vehicles as well.

Great presentation Mike! I'm thinking getting a Limited. What's your honest opinion about the transmission? It seems so many people complain about it that makes me wonder if this is a right car for me, or anyone for that matter. I don't understand why Chrysler/Fiat is not fixing this problem. Thank you for your much appreciated input.

MightyRostam I haven't heard anything negative about the trans from the people I sold to or anyone else in person. The only problem one of my customers had was a door motor stopped working a few weeks after they bought it. Everyone I know that drives a Cherokee daily seems to really like it. These vehicles have a 100000 mile warranty on the transmission so if someone has a problem that a dealer isn't addressing they can go to another dealer. I couldn't imagine a dealer (or Chrysler) staying in business without honoring their expressed warranty.

Just picked my Limited up this afternoon - it's identical to the one in your video except mine has a sunroof :). I love the vehicle except for the start/stop. Stupid feature, I think. I thought something was wrong with the darn car. Other than hitting the switch each time I drive it, is there a way to permanently disable it?

This cars transmission is the worst. Also a death trap on wheels. My girlfriend has one of these with all the "bells n whistles". The transmission gave out and all the lights came on while she was going down a hill and she almost crashed because the cars computer seemed to have malfunctioned and neither the brakes or the steering worked. Then when it came back online the car started to shudder and she pulled over. The transmission was changed on 2 different occasions. Chrysler was kind enough to absorb the cost of the day to day rental but we got stuck with the insurance on each occasion. One month of insurance fees because they had to order the transmission and have a specialist install it. the first cost her close to $300 and the 2nd almost $700. This car is a joy to drive when its working fine but there is no way in hell would I recommend this as a daily driver. The transmission jumps and jerks or is uneasy from 1st to 2nd gear. This SUV has 9 gears which I have never gotten to so not sure of the need for it. The maintenance record for this vehicle with the premium package is another thing. From the flashing of the nav touch screen, to additional safety recalls, we have spent close to an extra $2K just because of rentals and additional expenses. The rep at Chrysler Jeep Dodge was another case who was an asshole to say the least saying theres nothing they can do and if it broken its just more work for them. I advised them that I'll be writing my review so others might not have the same issue. This is basically a fiat jeep hybrid and I cant stress the reliability issues enough.

Unknown 2014/15. When it's running as it should its a blast to drive but I do think they tried to do to much with the tranny. For it to "learn" your driving pattern

None of my customers have had any issues with the Cherokee. I haven't heard of either the problem or the fix.
