Nazgul and the Kentucky JROG went back to the Kentucky Adventure Tour (KAT) for a second time in February 2021. Our group keeps expanding and we brought in a new member. We unfortunately had a set back when water went inside the breather of one of our members and we had to tow him out all the way out. We run into a local who helped us tow him and knew the terrain.
We had a great time despite the issue and we learned from our mistakes, we both know have snorkels and are ready for more adventure!

Off Roaders never go through water fast. Always go through as slow as you can go. Also see how high the air intake is on your vehicle. The Jeep Renegade air intake into the box is just under the headlight. Have fun.

Agreed, my buddy learned it the hard way. It's already fixed and He installed a snorkel to avoid in the future.

I have a Renegade Trailhawk, excellent car. Walks on almost all terrains. Lots of comfort. In the mud you need appropriate tires, those that come from the factory do not help. See mine in action: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iN1zhtRm25iUqqs.html

He hyrdo locked it. Turn it off pull the spark plugs and let the cylinder pressure push the water out. If it wasn't horribly hyrdo locked you might stand a chance of getting it running again.

@@nazgul_renegade great. Be careful. If theee is enough water in the cylinder as the piston tries to build pressure you can fracture or even blow a rod out the bottom.

Really COOL :) Maybe next year I'll get a used Jeep Renegade 2.0 Diesel and on top of that I'll put my Gordiger roof tent. I currently have a Suzuki Jimny FJ. It's great in hard terrain and is really tough... it just uses too much gas. So a 1.3 petrol engine uses around 9 to 10 liters per 100 km! One thing is clear: the 1.3 is indestructible and won't break :) over 200,000 km is not uncommon and they have no problem. The Yellow Renegarde did wrong, he was supposed to drive slowly into the water.. All the water sloshed in and he had water in the engine and electronics.. My Jimny was made waterproof drive deep water. Are there snorkels for Renegarde? If so, that would be great and also protect the engine.
