I just bought a 2004 TJ and the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. I looked down and the push rod had fallen out. I drove it home with no clutch. Going to fix it tomorrow. Hoping I don't have to replace the master cylinder. Thanks for the video.

Dude thank you so much for doing this video, this literally happened to me tonight and I had to Jerry rig it back in to limp home. I'm gonna grab a new master and slave tomorrow and fix it up!

Nice video! Just got finished performing this replacement on my TJ. The white retaining straps on the slave cylinder are normally designed to remain in place during the install. The first time you depress the clutch pedal the straps will snap loose & you go back down to the slave cylinder & simply remove the two pieces from the back side of the slave. 😊

Do you happen to know the size of that receiver hitch pin? My pedal keeps falling off of my new clutch slave cylinder and I need a fix lol

Sorry, I don't. It was already in my Jeep. Lowes or tractor supply should have different sizes to choose from. Good luck!

Did that cylinder come filled and no bleeding needed? If so that is worth what ever they charge.

My clutch doesn’t do that but has a squeaking noise when pressed down. Only starts after driving for 30 minutes or so. Any ideas on what could be the cause?

If you are talking about the actual pedal, I would say put a little lube on the shaft where it goes into the firewall. My old one did that but didn't bother me enough to mess with it. If it is inside the master cylinder, I don't know of anything you can do. Thanks for watching
