This dude is literally the only person advocating for a 6 inch lift for 35s. There are dudes on YT that literally run 35 inch tires on stock suspension… all they did was change out the fenders.

The kit needs extended front brake lines and bump stop extensions. Without bump stop extensions, the shocks will become the bumps stops which is going to lead to damage if the Jeep is actually used to run trails. At full flex and full steering lock, the stock brake lines are going to be stretched to the limit or beyond. Very unsafe! Also I would highly recommend springing for an adjustable front track bar. The axle is isn't likely to be centered otherwise.

This is a brilliant step by step video to the job. The only thing that is missing compared to real life is many, many hours of seized and snapped bolts and swearing… apart from that tho… great

I just recently acquired a 2004 Jeep TJ and considering putting a 4' lift on it and 33's. I keep being told, even by some shops that do lifts, to stay away from Rough Country. Why do so many people bash Rough Country? I was told to stay away from anything with the name "Country" on it lol. I want a good lift that doesn't break the bank. Mostly going for the look with a little off roading but nothing too serious. I just ordered my mammoth wheels from you guys. Can't wait to get them!!

Happy to hear you'll be sporting some mammoth wheels! Rough Country makes some quality kits for the money that you pay for it. That being said, you can purchase kits that are a lot nicer quality-wise and are a lot more complete. Kits like that tend to cost a lot more money though. So its kind of a give-and-take situation, you need to find a balance between your budget, usage, and quality. -Zach

I saw a previous video showing the installation of your long arm kits. Question that I have is about the parking brake cables, how should they be secured? They are originally bolted on the UCA I believe.

11:24 why are the shocks opposite for the '03-'06 models from the '97-'02 models? The tube end usually gets mounted to the top.

Questions; Are all four control arms identical ? AND One side of the bushings has a "washer" Does the orientation of the arm matter. Could not find anything in the instructions.

The kit came with 2 plastic pucks. Do they go under the transfer case?

After installing the kid I can’t get my jeep into for low. I tried to adjust the linkage and I’m at the end of the rod is there a bar I can get those longer to put in its place or what is the fix? I appreciate it

Same happened to me. I just removed the drop bracket they provided and all is good.

Installed this kit and got death wobble now, follow all the instructions it all seems tight under neat Idk.

Hey, Paulo! I'm sorry to hear about your wobble there! I would look at your tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel hub bearings, and track bar bushings. If any of those are worn, the new lift kit could absolutely be causing extra stress on them. Looking into adjustable track bars to keep your axles centered may be beneficial as well. -Zach

Where's the review? So you installed it and looked over and commented on the components. And we all know Rough Country stuff appears to be decent quality when you take it out of the box. But what really matters, and the whole point in the first place...it what it does when you put it to work. Where's the test-flog? Without that...this video is almost a waste of time.
