Jeep Wrangler TJ 4 Hole Fuel Injector Upgrade Install

I show you how to install and upgrade your fuel injectors in a Jeep Wrangler TJ. This video has every step you need to know, in order to install the 4 hole fuel injectors in your 2.5L Jeep Wrangler TJ. It will be very similar on a 4.0L as well.
Before we start the install, I get a baseline test of how the Jeep runs. After that I then clean out the engine bay with some engine degreaser.
The job requires a 10mm socket for the fuel rail nuts and throttle body bolts. There is also a 13mm sized bolt under the 10mm nut.

Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear that. I was thinking of rebooting the channel, just been really busy as of late. I also have my other channel that I daily upload on, called mikegolden Games, where I do have some other DIY videos. That channel is mainly LSPDFR patrols for GTA 5, but I do a lot of other things too

There's a slight improvement in the higher RPM range, above 3,800 Sounds like a great upgrade for someone like myself with plenty of mods that make the motor run lean. 👍👍

I had a cylinder 1 misfire on my 2000 mustang gt and I replaced the coil pack and spark plugs only to find out it didn’t change anything. I eventually switched the fuel injectors around and it was still on cylinder 1 so my local mechanic said I had to replace the ECU. None the less taking out the fuel injectors was actually my biggest car repair task to date so it’s cool to see you go through the same process and problems.

Take it to another shop. Misfire codes are often mis diagnosed

Thanks for the video. You answered a lot of my questioned. However, on a lot of forums I read before finding your video. Some people say you need to reset your computer by touching your battery terminals together? Did you have to reset your computer at any point or did it just reset itself?

I did not reset the battery. I did read that too, but didn’t do it. Lol. Everything worked right away. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt though

So what did your "Buttometer" say about the runs after the new injectors were installed? Was there a noticeable difference? The Jeep seemed more responsive.

Not sure what you mean on the first line, but yes, it did act more responsive. Noticeable yes, but nothing too big. I would still recommend it though.

@@SwordInc "Buttometer". Old school technology where modified vehicle performance comes through the floor, up your legs to your butt. And you butt can tell a difference of performance. This is called the "Butt ah meter".

What did you use for the lube for the o-rings? Or what can you use

I used QuantumCoat, but you can use and motor oil or just some silicone grease

If you really want a performance increase, might I suggest the 4.0L straight 4 cylinder plus 2 additional cylinders to boot. I'm just busting balls, no offense meant. And yes, you can accuse me of being a 4.0L snob. Great video, thanks for sharing. I'm assuming they make these for the 6, I'd be interested in this upgrade.

Lol no problem. I picked up an 04 Rubicon last year. The 4.0 is defiantly the way to go. But you work with what you got.

@@xmo552 Not at all. I purposefully sought out a 2.5 with manual trans. And I got it for a good deal because the guy said everyone is looking for a 4.0 with auto. No speed demon by any stretch of the imagination, but fun as hell to drive.

I found them on Ebay. Just make sure the Ebay ad says that the injectors are for the correct Engine.

There are many reasons for that. First I would make sure you have enough oil in the engine. There’s engines can knock if under oiled.

Not a huge diffidence but maybe 1-2 mpg, but then again going from 12 mpg to 14 is not that bad. I don’t render the actual numbers though, it’s been a long time
