Nice looking jeep! Just letting you know and other people that are watching the video and reading comments that stabilizer has nothing to do with preventing death wobble. Death wobble happens because your trackbar bolts are loose or wallowed out or needs to be replaced. Or you need to replace balljoints, or your tie rod is bent and/or ends are worn out or wheels are not balanced or out of round or your unit bearings are shot. Just a few examples of what actually causes death wobble. With your wheels and 1.5" spacers, that puts you at about 3" backspacing. It is recommended that you don't go lower than 3.5" backspace or you will be putting unnecessary wear and tear on your steering/front end components and your balljoints will wear out prematurely.

You are one brave person running 37s on a D30; even with it sleeved and gusseted. You definitely want to consider some C gussets and upgraded axle shafts too. Just some food for thought. ;) Sweet rig though!

You should go with the Dynatrac ProRock44 front axle if you don't plan on upgrading to the JLU next year. Great front axle that is way stronger than a standard D44 and has more ground clearance than a D30.

Dang, you've got a very steady hand. Thanks for replying. Also, Im 16 and I'm really wanting to get a motorcycle of some sort, and watching your videos, yummi, dans, jakes etc. makes me want a bike even more every day, but I don't really know what is a good starter. I know that it really depends on what type of riding Ill be doing, but would you say a wrx450 with a street mod is a good starter? I'm 6 foot 8 in, and I weigh 237. Not your every day 16 y/o haha.

Dont you miss out on two features like Disconeccting the front something and also locking something up? 4 door is more capable than 2 door? Please, id outwheel a 4 door anyday in my JK.
@flybyav8tor8 жыл бұрын
+Brandon H Depends, his wheel base will smoke you on just about any hill climb. The only thing you do better than him is turn on a narrow trail and break over sharp obstacles. There is a reason the JK experience is all 4 doors. I run an LJ with 103" wheelbase stock and it does everything easier than a 2 door.
@4runnergravy8 жыл бұрын
+flybyav8tor jk experience isn't only 4 doors. Plenty of 2 doors also.
@rd58rd588 жыл бұрын
2 door is better off road in about 90% of conditions. Slight advantage climbing rock hills in 4 door. In all sand and mud 2 door is better since you simply have more tire surface per lb. in a 2 door. Switchback trails, lots of turns, woods, a 2 door is better. anything more narrow, or with trees, 2 door better

damn I love the look of jeep (off road/crawler) jk's but when people talk about the parts I don't have an an apriciation for them, the closest thing I could compare it to is a gun and all the different parts and what they do for the build, I would like to own one but don't want to put the time into adding parts from stock but that's probably the fun part right? guess I got some stuff to learn
@gunenthusiast93738 жыл бұрын
Well it's be like buying an AR-15 (the most versatile rifle out there) and adding a scope, an aftermarket barrel shroud, a different trigger system, etc. A Jeep is one of the most versatile off-road vehicles so it makes sense imo. But I know what you're saying about over-the-top mods done by city-boys who have never been to the sticks :)
