Just bought a 95 zj with the 4.0. Bone stock. Got a lot of work to do on it. Love watching your channel. Gives me lots of ideas. One day when donations comes in.😂 I wanna make it trail worthy....

Hey buddy. I'm in dire need of the EVAP system for my 97 ZJ. Almost all of the lines and boots are dry rotted and not one auto part store I've been to has any idea as to how to get them aside from going MOPAR which is big money.

Do you still have any of the lower plastic trim pieces? looking for the diver side rocker panel cover. the little piece that is on the fender in front of the piece that runs the length of the doors. I have a 96 zj larado.

Is it easier to leave the transmission in if you're doing a motor swap or take the transmission out bolt it to the new motor and drop them both in at the same time

Its probably easier to unbolt the trans and leave it in. Gonna do a motor swap soon! 😁

I might be sick but it's nice to watch someone tearing apart at a jeep without much regard for the remaining parts lol. Looking forward to the xj disc brake install vid. I just intalled mine last weekend but from a Liberty 8.25. E-brakes are still not connected and I'm interested in seeing how you handle it, right now i'm leaning towards grabbing some u-bolts. Hope all is well on the island! PS if you find any axles you want to check out near boston lmk I can give em a look for ya.

LMAO, digging into Jeeps is always fun. I'm guessing you have an 8.25 too. Lol I always heard the KJ swap was great but never did it myself. I always forget which ebrakes I use 🤣 I'm pretty sure I use Ford explorer cables.. they're a little long but they're better than repurposing the XJ cables. I really don't like the idea of looping the cable with u bolts... Don't worry. Ill think of something. If you can find me d44s I'll pay you a visit 😁 Feel Better and God bless

@@ProjectDanHIt's true! I have only pulled the trigger on a used ARB front locker (and diff cover with 2 chromoly axles) for $700. I'm going to wait and see if I change my mind about anything before I buy the rest. The plan so far with the remaining needs... compressor, truetrac, yukon gears, intall kits and some specialty tools... I'll probably hit the 2k mark..you know... about your average copart fee ;). It's a great time to do it with no normal activities going on, but also a bad time for $$ potentially. Probably will wait. Winch bumper getting painted and installed this weekend and I need to swap out my rusty oil pan too. Spring cleaning = installing all the parts I already have lol

why did you pull the fuel rail and TB? did you drop the crossmember to get the trans bolts? thanks !

I pulled everything and put it in storage. Gave removed the trans bolts. The transfer case and crossmember was gone already.

Is it a similar procedure on a 4.0L WJ? I have to pull the engine from my parts car and put it in my daily, but I have never done it before 😂

Basically the same! some accessories are in different locations but its no Biggy. 👍

Hey man, you don’t happen to still have some of those parts from the front grill area do you ? Upper rad support cross member, those u shaped supports that sit in front of the rad, etc.?

This one had the plastic clips. lol.. J/k.. Gabe got under there and took em out while I was working the top.

When I pull an engine I usually hook the bolts to the AC compressor mount threads on the block that are on the passenger side. On the driver side I use the center hole for the exhaust manifold in the head

I'd like to know how long it takes with engine , transmission , transfer case all pulled in one shot it seems pretty easy to do but I have never done all 3 on a Jeep at the same time 😂

this pull took the 2 of us 2 hours. it would probably take one person about 4. add another 2 for the transfer cases.. plan for at least a full day 👍

ZJ was 93-98,. WJ was 99-04. any 4.0 will fit in an XJ. a 2004 WJ engine may need an oil filter adaper

@@ProjectDanH thank you .my current engine has 123,000 miles I just bought it cheep because engine has low oil pressure at idle when warm ..and slight noise in Engine not really a knock like rode bearing ..maybe piston ??? Idk doesn't smoke runs on all cylinders .haven't done compression test .

I will try it.. I have a new oil pump I could also try..came with the jeep..could check rod bearings...one friend said carbon knock...guess I have to start trying stuff .I have done rod bearings on my bosses 4.0 jeep and oil pump and timing chain .. because it had low oil pressure and it still has low oil pressure changed oil sending unit ..also .so I'm not convinced it would help with my engine .I don't get it because I have a 98 4.0 with 215,000 miles on it and oil pressure better than my new 132,000 mile motor.
