In Jeepers Creepers 2 they injured his head and he was able to regenerate his head with another victim. It was cool how he was able to regenerate limbs

I remember seeing the 2nd movie first and that scene where he's hanging over the back door of the bus and sniffing out choosing and picking his victims was so creepy to me. I wish it still had that creepy factor

I think the difference from the 1st two to the latest two are you don’t actually see what the creeper is doing in the first 2. Like he doesn’t get his own solo scenes of what he’s up to. He only shows up when others are on screen so that helps maintain the mystery. Also just the fact the first two mainly take place in the dark and when he is in the light you can’t see his face. That’s what makes him scary.

So the first movie is still the best as I called it. The first movie definitely had something special. You actually cared about the protagonists. They had great character development. The creeper was basically a mystery until the middle of the movie when you see what he actually is. The atmosphere alone and the suspense in that film are perfectly portrayed. The scene where Darry and Trish see the creeper dumping bodies down the pipe is excellent and creepy. We as an audience are experiencing what they are seeing for the first time in their point of view. Everything about the first movie is absolutely brilliant

In all honesty, the biggest injustice is the recasting of the Creeper instead of bringing back Johnathan Breck. Dude really made the character his own with the animalistic mannerisms and stalking, and it did not feel like the new guy was trying to capture that magic at all. For instance and this is me ranting, there's a scene in this new movie where the creeper loses his eyes and rather than using his sense of smell to find the person he's chasing, he just flails his arms around reaching around him.

I took my kids last week to see this and the entire theater was laughing out loud at just how awful this was. You know it's bad when my 9 year old says "what did we just watch?" at the end of it.

The Creeper's sense of humor was always the best part about him, and it adds to how scary he is. I don't think there's any way to make a good movie without using the same actor for the Creeper.

I remember being terrified and having nightmares about the first Jeepers Creepers and enjoying the second movie but watching the third movie…they make him look like just a evil bad guy not the Creepy monster that we saw in the first movie 🤦🏾‍♂️

Bummer! I remember watching the first 2 as a kid terrified knowing that I probably shouldn’t be watching them 😂 3rd one was a huge downgrade but at least somewhat watchable. Just watched the movie last night, everything you said is true. Not only was it one of the worst movies i've even seen in theaters, the $15 ticket price just solidified the sour taste in my mouth coming out of it. The scariest part of my night was admitting that I would pay that same $15 to watch the franchise killing 3rd installment and be content. Victor Salva may not have been a good man but his directing was far superior. It's sad to say but I believe this franchise is beyond saving at this point!

They massacred my boy. And had the audacity to keep it in the continuity with even some inspiration from the comics too.

They need suspense and mystery back in the films, Chris. Simple premise and small location. Not overblown special effects especially when you don’t have the budget for it. Ah man I was hoping this movie would re set this franchise. Your absolutely right though, that very first movie was so scary and a classic, I mean the ending of it was so terrifying when Justin long gets carried away with the creeper, brilliant. I hope they bring that creeper back

Spot on. I did like the opening sequence. Managed to create that same sense of dread and suspense as the first movie. The second things shift to the main characters it goes downhill fast and stays there.

In the original movies, the creeper would heal significant wounds by feeding on victims and consuming the corresponding body parts. Not new to this entry, but a super cool aspect of the character that I'd forgotten until you brought it up.

This movie was just abysmal-coming from a huge fan of the first two movies. The creeper has always been my favorite movie monster. The implied lore behind it and it’s abilities…so engaging. The portrayal, mannerisms and it’s ability to hunt terrified me as a kid. It made you think “oh god, what if I have something it wants?” My biggest faults for where this franchise has gone as of late is that the portrayal of the Creeper is absolutely horrendous. And they keep introducing these B plots. NO, I don’t think everyone suddenly knows about the Creeper. A cult? Sure? But I feel like that implies they can just bring it whoever. They act smug and powerful when really I would expect it to be terrified townsfolk who pray it doesn’t eat one of them! The implications that a cult that can just FEED it, and be in control of it existing is so boring. It hunts and plays with his food because it needs them to be scared to smell their fear. It takes what it needs, not just to eat what it wants. And that’s how it stays alive, it doesn’t need to be reborn into some stupid new baby body. “It has eaten so many hearts I don’t think it can be killed anymore” a rough quote from the first movie. Good lord. It’s like the people in charge of this film didn’t even watch the first two at ALL. Secondly, the Creeper dresses like a man so it can blend in. Yes, it doesn’t sound like a human but was the mundane asthma huffing (was the mask hard for the actor to hold up on his shoulders??) and cheesy growling necessary? It just took me so out of it. It is highly intelligent and relies on its sense of smell. I don’t understand why when it’s eyes were stabbed out why it flailed it’s arms like an idiot. In the first movie it’s all but blind because the eyes it uses are so old. But that didn’t slow him down much. And don’t even get started on it’s obsession with the song. ALSO not how it works. Can they just respect the entity and not try to ruin everything that made it such a cool monster? They have butchered The Creeper, and he’s dead. And I kind wish he’d stay dead at this point.

I absolutely love your passion for the character of the Creeper so much. I think you would be able to come up with something really cool if you wrote something. I vote for you to write/direct a reboot.

The Creeper actually shows off his regenerative abilities in the Police Station in the first movie. It may be in the extra scenes in the DVD copy I watched back when it was released. This Monster always "Creeped" me out.

@10:40 regarding Creeper assimilating body parts - They did that in part 2 when his head got mostly shot off, he stole some victim's head and it basically fused to him and replaced his old one.

There honestly should have been a Jeepers Creepers TV series with weekly episodes or 10 episode seasons. They really need like a 3 season TV show to tell the entire story of the Creeper

In the first movie I took the creeper's regeneration as when the creeper was eating one of the inmates in the jail he ate the parts that were damaged on him after being ran over by Trish.

What questions is, the framer was waiting for him at the end of part 2. They ignored that.

You should go see Terrifier 2 when it releases on October 6, and if you haven't seen the first one yet you should marathon both of them and review them back to back

Also to me what also made the Creeper so scary in the first and second movies was that, that the authorities and public know of the creepers horrific doings, but to them the creeper is still a mystery and the only thing they can come up with is that it is a serial killer, but obviously im sure that idea doesnt sit right with anyone but its the only thing they could think of. Similarly the Psychic even with her supernatural abilities really knows nothing about the creeper she calls it a demon because its her best description. And to me its much more horrifying being described as a demon for lack of a better comparison than being an actual demon, since demons are not really mysterious as there is much written about them and I think if it was a demon people could be somewhat relieved if they actually knew what the hell it was. When in reality it is something much worse and even with all the evidence they cannot comprehend what this monstrosity truly is. To summarize, yeah the best part of the creeper is the mystery, and this theme is wonderfully displayed in the early part of the first movie when we see the creeper and his truck. Everything would leave you to believe its a person, but even before we saw the creeper we knew deep down psychologically that whatever was in that truck was not human. And again when we see him throwing the guy down the pipe, he appears human, but instinctually we knew he is not. Its the uncanny valley that creates a high level of stress in the primitive part in our brain. I think the best way to sum up why the creeper is so scary is from the psychic "He disguies himself as a man, but he is not a man". This was probably my favorite line from the movie. That, and "Did you bring a friend with you? Thats not my scarecrow"

I feel a cool idea for a jeepers creepers movie would that a group of people would be trying to create a jeepers creepers movie when they find out that the creeper is real and it starts attacking them

At this point let me direct it let me have a budget lol I'd do a hell of a better job seems like the fans need to just direct the movies. Hell I'd even have Breck back as the creeper and explore some Aztec background like the comics.

I still think a lot of the reason the film turned out the way it did is because of the Myriad Lawsuit against screenmedia. Screen media is a terrible company for any film to be apart of and Myriad is suing them because they claim that they weren’t told or notified of the production, and we’re not apart of any of it in any form. They also claim the distribution rights were sold to screen media without there permission. So if this was the case then that would explain why this movie tuned out to be what it was. And it’s bad enough they gave it to a director who talks way more crap about other people’s movies and says what they do or don’t have. Well now he shouldn’t be talking but overall I guarantee if Myriad was involved they would have brought Breck back and a majority of the OG production team from the 3 films

I personally think jordan peele and ti west should direct the next reimagining of jeepers creepers. Maybe keep the continuity of the first two and make a 3rd one that’s rebooted similar to what they did with Halloween(throw Alex gillis in as the special effect supervisor and you got a hit)

Actually if I recall properly I think they already explored the Jeepers creepers being able to heal itself by eating the particular body part it needs in jeepers creepers 2. It was in the bus scene when the speared part of his head and so he ate a teacher’s (or student’s I can’t remember which one) head and got a brand new head. Wow I was really looking forward to this movie and had high hopes. Just like you I grew up loving the first 2 jeepers creepers movies. I used to always be so terrified of the 1st one.

I used to have nightmares as a kid where I would be outside playing right before dusk and out of nowhere I would see the silhouette of the creeper flying over the tree line. It would eventually change to where I was in a house at night and would catch glimpses of him peaking at me through the window. I still have that one every now and then.

You missed one thing about the creeper, the arm being ripped off and renewed by eating someone else's isn't new. He did that in the second movie with someone's head.

I LOATHE Salva with every ounce of my being but I will give the devil his due and admit that the ending of JC2 goes so fucking hard. Ray Wise's character was such a badass and the fact we're never going to see how his story resolves is just so unfortunate, especially if this sort of movie is what we get as a consolation prize.

I was watching this movie and halway through had the urge to watch a review didn’t expect Chris 🤙🏻

The first two were brilliant! Especially the second one where he’s terrorizing those school kids. And they way he just flies away and keeps coming back to attack them relentlessly. Then the scene where he’s sniffing them out to see who he wanted to eat genuinely scared me and him licking the window gave a sexual element to it that really creeped me out. That was revolting! I like how the father nailed him three times with the Harpoon and yet it still didn’t kill him. In the end it retreated into a Cocoon like an Insect! I would have poured gasoline on him and lit him on fire! And I wish they brought back the Sister to get her revenge on the Creeper for killing her brother. But they forgot about that idea, too! Terrible!

did u forget that in the second movie he's eye got stabbed and trying to remove it he's half head was gone so he took one of kid's head in the bus and ate it then it became his head. so him doing the hand scene isn't the first time they did something like this.

In reference to the creeper eating the hand and not remembering him do that…he did that when he ate a head after getting a pole through his own and regrew the head or something if I remember right.

The arm thing kinda did happen in part two but instead of a hand he rips off his head and puts on one of the students head as a replacement

i think we all know the biggest mystery about the creeper is the fact he managed to get a customized license plate despite only being around every 20 something years

I watched it for free and was mad lol. The thing they don’t understand is that what made the original scary is the suspense and the helplessness, with some gore sprinkled in. Part 2 was still suspenseful but it was a little campy and funny. 3 was watch in background bad. Reborn was like 4th grader giving a fake book report of the first one when he was supposed to read it over summer break

As someone who grew up going to horrorhound conventions I’m gonna watch it when it hits VOD just for them knowing they had a hand in the film is cool great horror magazine and convention for the horror fans.

I remember when they released the trailer for the film and I thought it was legit fake, like, no way are they going to release garbage on this scale. Looks like they did, thank you for watching it so we wouldn’t have to, you’re a hero good sir

Not gonna lie I have gotten so much joy out of seeing someone angry and I saw the thumbnail, laughed, popped some popcorn and sat down to watch

The first two were that way because of where the writer/director was in their lives...we all have that dark stage...they use it to tell the story ..look at hellraiser 1 and 2..they took his concept and a studio went ahead and did what was popular and not exactly scary but trending and used the name to make a few bucks and run the franchise into the ground so they don't have to do them anymore..look at hellraiser 5 thru 9.
